So I want to construct a website that basically allows users to identify their favorite food trucks, hot dog vendors, and other mobile food sources; not only by name but also by category (truck, cart, etc). AND The mobile food vendors should be able to know who their fans are (who has marked them as a favorite). The vendors should be able to post updates – new location, hours, etc.

This means users (fans) and vendors need to be able to login and have an online usernames. Initially everything will be free but eventually I hope to monetize it by offering an upgraded (paid) account to vendors which would allow them to post specials and coupons as well as send mass emails to all their fans.

Now, I think this would be a social network plugin but I am not sure and, even if it is… there are nearly 700 social network plugins. How do I find one that will do what I want?

Does anyone know of such a plugin?

I paid an overzealous company who does marketing and promotion $1,800 to do a website for me and this is what they came up with -> www.NiaSweetz.com Granted this was over a year ago, and I’ve finally gotten around (after trying out platform websites designed for musicians) to realizing the best place to have my website is WordPress.
Is it just me or is there a steep learning curve?

Anyhow, I want to make my website muchhh more user friendly, and also add some analytics to track my visitors

Fans see featured image after reload

Hello!

I′m using your plugin for a long time and I′m really happy with it – works great!
Now I tried to insert a form (using formidable pro) on the page. I want the users to get fans by clicking the Like-Button first. This works and I set the featured image for this.
After filling the form the user clicks the submit button and the page reloads, now the featured image is shown again although the user is a fan now. Normally the page should display “Thank you for filling the form…” – Formidable does this automatically.

Any idea what may cause this?

I’m looking to develop an online community for musicians and fans, similar to purevolume.com, reverbnation.com, unsigned.com etc. Does WordPress have any themes/plugins/extensions/modifcations etc. which would allow such site to be developed easily? Most of the features I had in mind are available with Jamroom (jamroom.net), but they are currently rewriting their software which would not be backwards compatible with their current version, so I’m investigating alternatives. I’ve seen many WP themes that are designed for single artist/bands/musicians etc., but I have not found any so far that are geared towards multiple artists. I also have not come across any WP sites that’s similar to what I want to do. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

[Plugin: comments] Site overhaul, how to integrate Facebook properly?

Hi all,

I’m overhauling my blog and want to have proper Facebook integration. There are a few things to consider:

– My fan page publishes WP posts through an app called RSS Graffiti, but I want to get rid of this.
– I want my fans’ comments to be mirrored on my WP blog and vice versa, so when someone posts a comment on my WP blog, that should then also appear on my FB fan page.
– And finally, I want to be able to “assign” older WP comments to Facebook users so that I’m getting rid of the WP comment structure altogether.

Is this possible with a simple plugin without having to write a lot of code? I would love to find out!
