One reason that is true is because that update i did not want i never had problems with fake subscribers. Now i get at least 1-2 every day! I see this problem goes back to at least 2016, and responses to complainants say “there’s a fix on the way.” Nope. It’s not fixed. I even deleted my “Subscribe” page and link. Still they come with ridiculous usernames and URL’s. This makes we wonder about the security and protection assurance of this product of yours.
I appreciate the “Classic Editor” insert, although the easy-to-use commands are scattered all over the app. That’s too bad. I don’t think I’ll be able to go through the process of finding another way to post my blog essays. _\||/ Sad.
]]>I have no more idea, what should I do to prevent our site from unwanted logins.
Things that we have done:
– there are neither standard wp-admin nor wp-login pages
– there is no user with user name “admin”
– Wordfence Plugin active
– Wordfence Login Security plugin is active
– XML-RPC authentication disabled
– ReCaptcha v3 is active
– all plugins are up to date
Has anyone other suggestion? Other things that should be done?
Thx.

]]>I receive every day some site hacking attempts by the password recovery functionality.
These attempts, use unlikely but sometimes very similar users, and and even if the site connection is over https, I wouldn’t want them to succeed in the attempt.
I think that a good idea should be to pubblish every contents, over a “pseudonym”, that is a simple fake user, as a nonexistent user, instead of hide totally the publisher name.
Thus, it would become impossible to trace the real username for the attackers.
What do you think about?
Is this functionality need to install a specific one plugin for this purpose?
Many thanks!
