Careless Update

I haven’t used my WordPress site in a while, so when I visited my Admin page for the first time in years and I saw the Update notice, I just went for it without giving it any further thought or researching anything before I updated, which resulted in multiple errors. I cannot access my web or my Admin page at all, and don’t know what to do. Now that I see the multiple steps I should have taken before uploading I am getting scared that I will not be able to recover my site, can anyone help?

I’m trying to insert my logo into Email Notifications. I’ve taken the HTML element directly from my websites Header and after trying “Updating” my form, it says “Invalid request, you are not allowed to do that action.”

WordPress and plugins won’t update

I’ve been working on building my new business site with Elementor and Astra this week. Everything was going fine but now have run into a significant problem. My WordPress won’t update (keep getting a notification that the automated WordPress update has failed to complete), my current plugins won’t update, and when I try to add new plug ins they fail as well. Don’t know where to go from here and my tech knowledge is low, so if you have ideas, be nice and clear.

WordPress auto update could not be completed. Please try again.

I know that this topic has been published several times, but I consider opening a new topic considering that the Log does not indicate any problems. Everything was working fine.

I’ve a WordPress installation on a managed Bitnami stack from an EC2 Instance on AWS and recently I have been unable to install and update plugins on my site because I’m getting the message “WordPress auto update could not be completed. Please try again. “

When I try to update any of the plugins, I get the following message “The update process is starting. This process may take a while on some servers, so please be patient.”

Activating maintenance mode…

After a while the maintenance mode is deactivated but everything remains the same.

As I mentioned before, the debug.log file does not show me anything even if it is activated.

Update yesterday did not work – now all gone

I am using Yoast Seo. Yesterday I wanted install the new update.
Then:
– The website went down for a few minutes because of “difficulties”.
– When I could access the website again, I was told, the update was not complete, I should finish it.
– I clicked on the button, that was shown, but nothing happened.
– Yoast Seo + metaboxes and all was simply gone. Yoast Seo is not listed under the plugins any more.
– When I try to install Yoast Seo again, it says: Installation failed: Destination folder is already existing.
Now I don’t know, what to do …

Header errors (6) at the top of WP when opening my Dashboard – Version 1.0.77.41 so I deactivated and errors are gone. Too bad. I sent the errors to AMP for WP – Accelerated Mobile Pages.

–> I did as Per WP Documentation: If you receive a warning that WordPress cannot modify header information and headers are already sent, it usually means that you have spaces or characters before the opening tags or after the closing tags. Try deactivating the WordPress Plugin or changing the WordPress Theme that caused the error to appear.

WP-Optimize plugin update failed – could not copy file…FFMpeg.php

I have the WP-Optimize – Clean, Compress, Cache – plugin installed. There is an update from 3.2.1 to 3.2.2. When I try to install the update – it fails with this error:

“Update failed: Could not copy file. wp-optimize/vendor/rosell-dk/webp-convert/src/Convert/Converters/FFMpeg.php”

I have no idea how to fix this. All other plugins are updating fine. WP is hosted on SmarterASP.Net and the WordPress Version is 5.9

I have restarted the Website pool on the web host – with no change.

Any help would be appreciated!

Yoast update today crashed WP 5.8.3

During update 17.9 the update did not finish. Eventually I got the error notice below, the website crashed and I could not log into WP. Our host got me access again by renaming the plugin.

AT this point I am fearful of trying updating Yoast again.

Has this problem been seen?
