Yikes! I just got SEVENTY orders overnight for short stories sold directly on my website… and they all failed.

I strongly suspect they’re all spamming attempts. 64 were for the same $0.99 short story, and 6 were for a second one, and they were all within a short time period. Many of them had emails like [email protected], though some had real-sounding names.

All of the errors were ‘Failed to process the payment’ However, I’m new to this selling direct on my website and while I’ve had several of my free short story go through fine, I’ve yet to have a successful paid sale except when I tested it on myself. I also had two failed ebook purchase attempts (for the same one, a $9.99 trilogy) last week with similar errors.

I’m on a WordPress site with Woocommerce and fulfillment with BookFunnel for my ebooks (and BookVault for my print).

Deposit Keeps Failing!

Hi there…

I’m seeking assistance as I’m new to WooCommerce. I received my first sale at the end of February and have been paid by the customer. However, I can’t find any documentation regarding the payment process except that it says you need to wait 7 days, which has already passed. On the deposit dashboard, it initially said “paid” with a deposit date of March 11th, but then it changed to “failed”. After fixing the account, it showed a new deposit date of March 18th, but again it failed. Now it’s indicating March 25th for the deposit. Can someone help me with this?

WC erroneously marked the order as completed on failed stripe payment

On Dec 1, we had a situation where a customer attempted to purchase a physical product using the Stripe payment option. However, despite the customer’s credit card failing to process the payment (evident in our stripe account), our WC system erroneously marked the order as completed and dispatched the product without payment was successfully received.
It even skipped the PENDING phase.

Why is Pending skipped?
Why does anything further happen if stripe payment failed?
How to prevent this?

I have a serious issue with the invitation form. If, for any reason, individuals cancel the payment on PayPal after the redirection or if a network error occurs, the contact form still sends a confirmation email, even if the payment has failed.

Also some short code also not working like Date.

Paypal Error when returning to Woocommerce Checkout Page after payment

We have connected our PaylPal business account using login credentials to the WooCommerce PayPal Payments plugin and all connected successfully. PayPal payment options comes up on the Checkout Page. When you make a PayPal payment all goes well, PayPal login in popup appears, you login, make your payment and return to the checkout page. It is at this point that a default error appears on the Woocommerce checkout page:

“There are no payment methods available. This may be an error on our side. Please contact us if you need any help on placing your order”

Now before we ticked the “Require final confirmation on checkout” tickbox in the PayPal plugin Standard Payment settings PayPal would set a pending payment transaction with the selected financial institution but no transaction appears in the actual PayPal account, as if it didn’t even know it happened. Now it’s ticked there is no payment as final confirmation is not there when you return no pending transaction is made. We look at the orders in the backend of Woocommerce and it stays as draft. We have tried deactivating, deleting the Woocommerce PayPal plugin, reinstalling it, reconnecting to our PayPal business account and the error remains.

Your help will be appreciated.

Failed Payment in portal, Shows pending on customer’s Bank Account

I got a failed payment notification on an order through my site, no funds showing in woo, no payment executed from the site’s side. However per the customer’s bank they showed the user tried to execute the transaction twice and it was successful the 2nd time and the transaction shows pending on the bank account with the funds discounted from his balance (although it’s still pending – which is normal).

The failure per woo was due to an invalid zip code. The bank says the funds were successfully transferred. Do I need to wait until the bank clears this pending transaction and realizes that woo isn’t taking the funds? Will the funds show up? This is causing some bad customer experience and any help or confirmation would be appreciated. Thanks!

I have some orders which are failing and this is the message I see:

We couldn’t verify the postal code in the billing address. If the issue persists, suggest the customer to reach out to the card issuing bank.

This happened to a customer whose previously ordered before and there was no issue. It also happened to a new customer which is pretty frustrating. The payment is pending on the card but order is failed.

WooCommerce Failed Payments

Hello! I just launched our new cookie store at kurtycooks.com, but I got 2/6 purchases as “Failed” transactions. I looked online and noticed this was a very common occurrence.

Both transactions showed this error message:
“A payment of?$xx.00?failed. We couldn’t verify the postal code in the billing address. If the issue persists, suggest the customer to reach out to the card issuing bank.”

I’m sure that the zips are correct because I DID reach out to verify. I’d really love your help in solving this problem!

It also was interesting to note that the ones that did go through did NOT have an even number like this (ending in 0’s)

Please help! Thank you
