I have a small issue with a feature…
The principle: the user must choose his rank (ex: woman – man – child) thanks to the filter, validate and just below, a carousel appears with proposed pages in relation to his rank.
1st question: in the world of WP, can I do this with a plugin?
2nd question: should I create a carousel for each row, with the associated pages? That way, as soon as the user chooses his rank, the appropriate carousel appears.
Thank you all and have a great day!
]]>The first option would be to show multiple tag boxes that are interconnected. For instance, selecting “fauna” in the first tag box would filter the results in the second box to “land animals”, “see animals” and “birds”. Selecting “see animals” would then result in “fish”, “jellyfish”, “micro-organisms”, etc. in the third tag box.
Another option would be to have multiple tag boxes, that each show a selected set of tags. One would display tags “January” through “December”, another would show animal types, like “cats” and “dogs”, and a third one would show tags like “male” or “female”.
A combination with another plugin that works properly with Photo Gallery, or a custom line of code, would also be a welcome solution.
Many thanks in advance!
]]>I would like to implement most basic faceted search on my site.
Example:
a) audi, bmw
b) green, red
c) new, used
I would like person to be able to click 3 things here, for example:
bmw
green
new
Is there a way to implement this without the plugin?
Seems such a basic and important thing that wp should have this functionality.
If not – does ebery free search plugin has this functionality (again it seems so common and basic that it should be mandatory for all plugin developers to include it)
What is the real situation?
Thanks

]]>I am building a review site for fringe plays. I have set up a review (post) input form using advanced custom fields and now need to be able to sort the posts by those fields. ideally i’d like two drop down menus, the first to select what to sort by (genre, author, venue, etc) and the second with a list of that custom field’s options.
I cannot find a plug in anywhere that does this… please help!
]]>I’d like to have the option of finding specific posts by choosing more than one category – Faceted / Guided navigation.
The clearest example I can think of is an ecommerce site. You can select items by price, then by colour, then by size etc… thus refining your search.
Is it possible to use this technique with posts?
The only solution I can see is repeating categories countless times as sub-categories.
Any advice would be very much appreciated!

– Job 1

Category B
– Job 3
– Job 4
Category C
– Job 5
– Job 6
Thanks!
