None of the following will exclude anything despite there being about 30 files in that folder:
wp-content/uploads/2018/12/*
wp-content/uploads/2018/12*
wp-content/uploads/2018/*
wp-content/uploads/2018*
wp-content/uploads/* works but I don’t want to exclude the entire uploads folder. I’ve spent hours over the past 6 months trying to find a solution to this but with no luck.
I just found some filenames listed under the
Advanced Scan Options
Exclude files from scan that match these wildcard patterns (one per line)
I don’t know why these files are there, I didn’t put them there, I am the only admin and only user on the site, the site is basically static (hasn’t had new content in years) and is left online as it is (though it uses an autoupdate plugin to ensure it does all WordPress updates).
On this old support thread (more than 3 years old), it suggests
For the first question with the “Exclude files from scan…” option, usually that box is blank, but if Wordfence scans get stuck, files can be added to the list automatically, to be skipped in the next scan. Usually these are extremely large files that cause problems, but in your case, you can probably just remove these from the list. It may mean that your host is having intermittent problems completing scans. On the Wordfence options page, if you change “Maximum execution time for each scan stage” to 15 or 12 seconds, this may help the scans complete more reliably.

Is the above still true or need I be concerned one of these files was hacked and this was added to cover their tracks?
thank you

These are the files that are excluded on my site. I can see no rhyme or reason for them to be excluded:
wp-content/plugins/worker/src/Google/Service/Drive.php
wp-includes/class.wp-dependencies.php
wp-content/plugins/jetpack/images/customize-theme.svg
wp-content/themes/twentynineteen/classes/class-twentynineteen-walker-comment.php
In the e-mail I get errors for files like these: D:\inetpub\webs\mysitenamecom/wp-content/uploads\sucuri\sucuri-auditlogs.php
I’ve enabled the “Scan Uploads Folder For PHP and Javascript” option in the “Hack Protection” settings, and when the daily scan happens I get a list of files associated with some of the plugins I’ve got installed; something I expected to see.
The files listed in the alert email are in the following format:
– /var/sites/w/sitename.co.uk/public_html/wp-content/uploads/index.php
When I attempt to add this to the exclusions all of the / characters are removed from the updated list, and the next scan alerts the same files.
I’ve tried escaping the / characters but that didn’t make any difference.
How can you add specific file paths to the exclusions list so that I can silence these alerts?
Thanks
This are the script tags:

I have tried:
in the field: Never minify the following JS files:
https://xxxxx.com/widget/?widgetid=xxxxxx&language=*&companyid=*
https://xxxxx.com/widget/?widgetid=xxxxxx&language=*&arrival=*&departure=*&typeroom=*&board=*&nrrooms=*
Not work The files are minimizied…
Someone has a solution?
Is it possible to exclude certain folders from theme scan? Opening a theme pot file takes a long time because of the large amount of files in node_modules en bower_components.
Kind regards,
Tom
how to exclude Files and Folders?
I guess this is a feature request!
I have already bought this tool, so this is not a matter of saving migration size to use the free version.
If you fear about this, you can give us the exclude list of files and folders only for paid users.
I′ve also installed backupbuddy from iThemes and they save the backups in a subfolder of the WP upload folder.
I do not want to migrate all the backups to the new domain.
Sometime this makes no sense.
I only want to have a clean, thin migration with only the most important items that I need to get the portal running.
I also don′t want to insert big images galleries into the migration package.
I can down- and upload them via ftp to the new domain in advance.
So how can I exclude certain files and folders?
Is this already working?
Best regards,
Rene
First of all, thank you for this fantastic plugin. I finally found what i was looking for!
Unfortunately it seems that the plugin doesn’t work with any minfy or optimization plugins and creates conflicts. All tables are not responsive as desired and all css formats will disappear when minify plugins are turned on. Also it shows jQuery errors when autoptimize is turned on.
In Autoptimize is a feature to exclude js and css files for optimization which i already tried for a lot of files from the plugin but with no luck.
Can you please tell which files (by names) from the plugin to exclude for making it work with Autoptimize?

I’m using File Away in a intranet-site, where users can upload their files. But let’s say I need to upload some pictures for an image gallery and I don’t want them to show up in File Away.
I’d like to be able to upload a file into WordPress and then choose if the file will be displayed with File Away or if it’s just in my media.
Is that possible? If so, how can it be done?
Thanks in advance and great plugin btw!
