Custom Exchange rates on frontend

Dear Alex,

first of all great plugin. I’m trying to figure out how to get exchange rates data to my custom plugin I’m developing for a client, and despite the detailed documentation, I got lost, I looked around in the forum but found no leads, and going through your whole plugin, would take precious time, which I don’t have a lot at this moment.

So far I got to the point that my plugin works, I don’t get reference errors, and the appropriate currencies are loaded (via dsWallets.vs_currencies). now I’m trying to figure out how to get and display the conversion rates (example BTC – USD) on the public front-end and use the exchange rate values to do some form calculations thus I can’t rely on the shortcode. Do you have any tips on how should I proceed?

Hi,
I would like to be able to add a translation to another currency. Currently we use Swedish crowns (SEK) as base currency, but when a customer looks in the English pages and cart, the amount is not changed so the added cost is 10 times the high in the English version (EUR based).

can you please inform me how we could make this work (so that your plugin picks up the exchange rate used, we use WPML for translations).

I went through several plugins for doing currency exchanges, many of them were quite complex to set-up, I am a big fan of “Keep it Simple” I find it extremely annoying if I have to sit and figure things out before I can use a product. This product CURRENCY EXCHANGE” was very easy to set up. The interface was simple and didn’t really require any explanation to use. So I definitely want to give this product 5 stars.

Love the plugin but before use this i have some answers

We plan to run a site that have multicurrency and we need your plugin

We plan to sell in dollars but the main money is Venezuelan Bolivar

Whit this plugin we can in one step the main price of all the bolivar currencies

I try to explain to you can helpo us better here

We have a exchange control of the money so we need to sell in dollars as an stable money but people can pay in Bolivar so as the exchange rate is so different each day we need to change the prices all days period

So the main questios is if we can manage to change the equivalent of the exchange rate in one place and the price in the exchange mmeny will change

Something like this

$1 = Bs. 6000

So web we change the Bs. 6000 to the rate of the day if will change all the prices of all the items in the shop

Fixer.io limit problems

Hi, I thought I posted about this before but cannot find it now.

I get warning from fixer.io that my free allocation is used up 100%, usually around the middle of the month. This makes it impossible to purchase anything, giving an error about no exchange rates being available, please try another currency.

I don’t really care about showing banker currency rates, but even when I turn all of it off it seems woocommerce doesn’t share my disdain for fiat and still will not work.

I have another site with woocommerce and wallets plug-in but that is fine. I can’t see why it is exceeding the limits.

It’s strange because the fiat conversion is showing in the balance section:
