create events in a WordPress post category

Hi,

is it possible to create events in a specific WordPress post category (e.g., news).

I would need this option so I can filter my Latest Posts block to only show my blog posts. At the moment the block is showing both my posts and events I created via the Events Calendar plugin.

You can see this happening on my homepage: www.esups.org – News section on the right.

Event category custom fields

Hi
Since the plugin itself has no support for custom fields for categories (only events and locations), had to create some with ACF. So far so good.
The problem is, that can’t display their value on frontend.
We treid with:
the_field(‘eventtype’);
the_field(‘eventtype’,$EM_Category->term_id);
get_field_object(‘eventtype’);
None works.
How can retrieve category custom fields created with ACF?

I want to link Event Category and Event Type?
For example:

Event Category: ‘EntryLevel Program’ when selected
then
Event Type: ‘Happiness Program’ Should be visible.

How to make any Event Category a Parent for Event Type? So that only defined Event Type should be visible corresponding to the Event Category?

Kindly assist me in doing this.

Classes gone missing on event category page index tag

Hi,

On event category pages the element has a lot of classes :
class="archive post-type-archive post-type-archive-tribe_events logged-in admin-bar tribe-js [...]"

But one class is gone cruelly missing in the latest versions of the plugin, that was proper to the displayed category:
events-category-xyz
xyz being the slug of the category.

How can I include it back among classes ?
Some of my CSS theme was relying on it and is now unusable .

Cannot update event category

Using plugin ver. , WP 5.6.2

I created a new event by copying an existing event. There are three categories of events defined (Presentation, Seminar, Training). The source event was of category Presentation. After copying the event, I was able to update all the fields I needed to (title, description, date, time, image), but NOT the category.

On the back end, none of the three categories are checked. In fact, looking at other events created in the past, none of them have the category checked.

Looking in the database, I see that the new event has the code corresponding to the Training category. If I manually change that code to the value for the Presentation category (which was the category of the source event), then the event displays correctly on the front end. However, it still does not show any checked category value on the back end. Nonetheless, in the list of events in the back end, the category is correctly displayed under the event title.

A final bit of information. If I create a new event from scratch, I still cannot check one of the categories for the event.

Exclude Specific Event Category from Blog Feed

I have my events set (via functions.php) to show in my blog feed. Once the event has passed, the Event is then categorized as ‘expired-event’. I’d like for all such categorized events to not be visible in my blog feed anymore. How can I do this via the functions.php file?

thank you for your plugin. However, I encounter some problems ..:
1 – Very often, after importing events, some empty spaces appear between events.
2 – I would like to translate the text into French.
3 – I would like the hours to be displayed in 24-hour format
4 – Is it possible to display its category at the top right of each event? (for example Sport)
5 – Can we add a button to “ticketmaster” or other affiliate link in the details of an event?

Event category in menu doesn’t work

I’ve created a menu with event categories, this menu is located in a sidebar. If I click the menu, the link will not load, even though the correct link will be displayed with mouse-over. Any idea to fix this?

I have the Google Analytics tracking code installed on my site and I couldn’t find the Button event under Real Time > Events report. Check: https://prnt.sc/my6tbo

Even on adding my Google Analytics ID, it shows the same “[object Object]”. How can I track this correctly? I am using the Free version.
