Hello,

When trying to create automation, the admin panel freezes, after which the site returns “Error 504”. I see this information in the log:

Dashboard Access Issue: Gateway Time-Out Error (504)

Dear All,

I’m encountering a peculiar issue on my production WordPress site where I’m unable to access the dashboard after logging in. Whenever I attempt to access the dashboard, it results in a Gateway Time-Out Error with the status code 504. However, if I open a new tab, I find that I am already logged in and can access other sections such as posts, plugins, etc without any problem.

I have already taken the following steps to troubleshoot the issue:

Deactivated several plugins.
Changed the theme.
Verified that the issue does not occur in my local and staging environments.

Despite these efforts, I’m still unable to access the dashboard on my production site. Can you please assist me in resolving this issue and getting the dashboard to load as expected? I would greatly appreciate your help in pinpointing the cause and finding a solution.

Hello,

I have this error when visiting /wp-admin/ and page returns 504 sometimes. Then error text from wordpress recovery mail.

POST SMTP uses Freemius to load add-on information from remote server (https://api.freemius.com/v1/plugins/10461/addons.json?enriched=true&count=50&sdk_version=2.5.5) which is triggered on “do_action(‘admin_menu’)”.

I think it is better to load add-on information using wp-cron instead of “admin_menu” hook. Because wp-cron can run longer without returning 504 timeout error and add-ons are not critical to load when site administrator tries to manage wordpress.

Setup WC Payments – Error 504

Hello,

I am trying to setup Woocommerce Payments for new shop but when I am clicking Finish setup (In this step it should redirect me to wordpress.com site) I am getting error “There was a problem connecting this site to WordPress.com: “504””

I have try to ping wordpress.com website and it respond. My php version is 8.1. I was trying also disable all plugins but it didnt help. Disabling firewall in server didnt solve problem.

Hello. I am from Argentina and I am using google translate. Today I installed the Iq Block Country plug-in on WP.org for my site titowhisky.com.
Everything works fine except for two not serious but annoying details:
1. Generate an API license for the MaxMind Geo Locator but when entering it in the corresponding field it tells me that it is invalid, I tried 2 more and the one I use for Woocomerce that it is working without problems.
2. The query of the log of the locks made worked well a couple of hours later and so far it is ending in a page with a 504 error. Consult with Site Ground and they do not observe any problem in the base or in the site, they increased my Response time but still ended in 504, on one occasion after a long wait showed the results. But the funny thing is that there are only 26 records in the table, I have executed a select from the base sql and they respond quickly. From what I understand that the problem is not in the hosting.
I can solve these problems by updating the Geo base manually and executing the sql to the table to obtain the information of the locks, but it is very annoying to have to do it like that. I hope they give me a solution. Thanks.

Hi,

I’ve had big problems on my website. I kept falling on 504 errors. First, I thought it came from the server, which it didn’t.

So I deactivated all my plugins, and found out Post Grid was at the origin of the crash… I’ve paid a pro license for that, could you please give me an explanation to this problem or refund for the license ?

hello dev. my site started showing error 504. i deactivated all plugins and activated ER only and the site went down again. I was using latest version of wordpress and plugin and downgraded wordpress and still not working.

Please help me.. the site was working fine with previous versions of wordpress and plugin but i dont remember the versions combination.
