Visitors are facing ‘This site can’t be reached – ERR_CONNECTION_RESET’ while trying to load translated pages. We have tried using different networks, devices and geographies, but the error stays for all of them.
Also this error does not popup for everyone, but is sure affecting website visitors.
Regards,
Shubham
I have 5 computers. On 4, I can get to my self-hosted site without any issue in ANY browser, be it Chrome, IE or Firefox.
One the 5th computer, starting just today, I cannot get to my site in Chrome ONLY. I get a ERR_CONNECTION_RESET error. IE and Firefox work fine on this computer.
I have repaired Chrome, cleared cache, tried incognito, etc.
The site does appear in developer mode when looking at it as a mobile device.
I don’t feel like it’s a site issue, but I haven’t changed anything (really) on my PC. Any thoughts on how to diagnose?
Thanks
Mike
Each time I try to update a post content or preview I get a “ERR_CONNECTION_RESET”, I tried desctivating the plugings as test but didn’t work.
Thank you in advance!
]]>Error message:
This site can’t be reached
The connection was reset.
Try:
Checking the connection
Checking the proxy and the firewall
Running Windows Network Diagnostics
ERR_CONNECTION_RESET
I have read some forum saying that it is php error. Need to check on the error logs. Do i need to check the logs from the cpanel?
]]>I’m having some major problems with my site.
Basically when I try to save a modification or change on the site it loads a bit and then Chrome gives an ERR_CONNECTION_RESET message (I tried with Firefox too, same thing). If not this, then WP will give an error message, for example when I upload an image it will say “HTTP error”.
I tried disabling all plugins and themes, but the problem remained. Also tried a “netsh winsock reset catalog” in cmd from another post which worked for like one save. For the next one the problem came back. So every time I wanted to save something I had to reset catalog and restart my pc. Which is not very practical. Since then, I also bought a new pc, so that cannot be the problem either.
Interesting thing is that other users who edit the site did not have the problem like I did.
So I feel like it’s not WP, not the computer, not the themes and plugins, but maybe my internet?
I’m hoping someone smart will be able to help.
Thank you in advance!
I’m having some problems building my site.
So a lot of times when I have made changes to my site and press “update”, my browser loads for a while and then giving me an error: “ERR_CONNECTION_RESET”.
I have googled a loooot, and tried almost everything. One thing that actually worked, (sort of) is renaming the .htaccess file. When I did this I could update my site without getting the error.
However, doing this also breaks the login, and I cannot access my site if I’m not already logged in.
Any idea what I should do next?
]]>I am looking for help with an issue that’s cropped up recently. The issue is that 9 out of 10 times when I try to update a post I get a “Connection Reset Error – ERR_CONNECTION_RESET” and the update fails.
1) This problem is happening on both of my two Windows 10 machines (Windows 10 version 1703 OS Build 16241.1001). It doesn’t matter which web browser software I use–the problem still happens.
2) The problem is not happening on my Chromebook which is on the same network as the above two machines.
3) The problem doesn’t happen on my Windows 10 computers at work, just my Windows 10 computers at home. These machines are likely running an earlier build of Windows 10.
4) As mentioned 1 in 10 website update saves actually works for some reason. It isn’t happening each and every time.
5) I am using Xfinity Internet at home and some dedicated provider at the office.
6) The sites are hosted as Managed WordPress on GoDaddy.
7) I have tried disabling all of my plugins and switching to 2016 theme. It makes no difference.
8) The error happens on “/wp-admin/post.php?post=619&action=edit” (or any post I try to update)
Interestingly, am in contact with two other people on GoDaddy’s help forum who are also having the exact same issue. They are on different ISPs than I am on, and one of them is on Windows 8 and the other is on Windows 10. The issue started recently for both of them.
I suspect there was some change to Windows recently, some kind of patch, that would have also been applied to Windows 8 that’s really at the heart of the issue, but I have no idea how to further troubleshoot this very frustrating issue.
Thank you very much for any ideas of what could cause this.
