20 hours later, the request’s status is now “failed.” So I click on retry, and it simply sends another data erasure confirmation email.
So, what exactly does the “failed” status mean? Did the user click on the confirmation link and something went wrong? Or, did the confirmation time out? Is there a way to get more information as to what failed, and how to fix it?
I could try to force remove the data, but I don’t want to do that unless the requester confirmed the action (I do need to verify that the request is genuine).

Can someone please guide me on how to edit and design the email notifications for the WordPress erase personal data tool?
Here are some specific questions I have:
I would greatly appreciate any help or guidance on this matter. Thank you in advance for your assistance!

I found that in WordPress notification e-mail which is sent after user requested Erase personal data, there is presented renamed secure login page slug, which is created by your plugin.
I think this secure login page slug should not be displayed anywhere, otherwise this function loses its meaning.
Please, can you make some adjustments so WordPress does not load this renamed secure login page slug into e-mail?
Thank you, very much.

]]>I am using the “erase personal data” feature as I don’t think it is working correctly.
I see that using “erase personal data” does not erase much & I was still able to log in with this user account with the email.
When trying to erase the user’s personal data, I get the following message:
https://snipboard.io/g5qDjl.jpg.
Here are my questions:
1. “Personal data was found for this user but some of the personal data found was not erased.” <—— For privacy policy reasons, how can I find out what data was not erased?
2. “Customer download permissions have been retained.” <— what does this mean exactly?
3. “Vendor maryblack data is removed.” <—- why does is say “vendor”? this is a user, not a vendor.
Hope you can help.
Best,
Chris
I have two types of fields in the checkout page, one field which will record as user meta as well as order meta. Now I have removed this field value from user meta and order meta while erasing the personal data.
The second field which is only recorded as order meta and not recorded as user meta. My question is, Am I need to delete this field from order meta while erasing the personal data?
]]>I removed the whole options from “Backend Menu” except: “Site Health”. However, I’m seeing this two:
“Export Personal Data” and “Erase Personal Data”.
Right now I’m trying to hide: “Export Personal Data”. Somewhere I found that the name of this capability is: “export_others_personal_data”. So, I added as a new capability and then I removed from the role, where I want to remove it.
However, the menu is still appearing. How can I hide it?
Thanks
Best regards
Josef
A total newbie to wordpress and setting up my first site, need a little help
I have been testing the GDPR Erase Personal Data tool and so far it works perfectly but there is one thing bugging me i cannot seem to correct. The email that the user receives to verify the request etc is from [email protected]
Is there a way i can change this to info@ or GDPR@ anything rather than wordpress@
Any help most appreciated!!

Is there a filter available for editing the verbiage of these e-mails? I want to maintain the functionality of each one, but the “Howdy” tone is a little too casual for some of my clients/sites. I would also like to change the ending (“Regards, All at <site_name>”) to have some specific contact information.
