Thanks for this great plugin, it really reduces the need for lots of other plugins.

To prevent the bloat of adding another plugin just for a lightbox effect, I would like to use the one bundled with Getwid. What’s the most efficient way to use the plugin included with Getwid for galleries and popups site-wide?

Forgive me if this has already been asked. There are 20+ pages of threads here! I am running the 2015 theme, and I would like to make the font for the ENTIRE site to be about 90% of it’s current size. I’m sure there is a CSS code for this, however, I am not as tech savvy as most of you here, so I’m hoping you can help out!

I’m trying to redirect an entire site – (haven’t “moved” the site per se to another domain, but created a completely different website where we want people to visit), so I want to redirect people from the old website URL to the new URL on the new domain so we don’t lose web traffic in case people didn’t know we had a new site.

The first time I installed the plugin, it worked perfectly; someone tested it and got instantly redirected to the new site. However, on subsequent tries, the plugin didnt work and they ended up seeing and being on the old site. I wondered what is the cause of that and what one needs to do to fix it.

Hi everyone,

Not sure exactly where to put this, but hopefully you can make sense of it.

My dilemma

I am building a website from scratch using WordPress.

It is initially being built on an unused domain that I own, which sits as an addon in my bluehost hosting. I need to build it on this domain so that the design can be approved before moving it to the proper domain.

Once the design has been finalised, I need to move the entire site to a brand new domain, which is on an entirely different hosting account.

Is this possible? Can anyone offer a description of how to go about it?

I’m trying to globally (whole site) edit my pages and posts. The kind of thing I’m thinking of is changing the typeface, editing text elements, always putting certain terms in italics – and so on.
Is this possible in my version of WordPress — I mean is it inbuilt?

I can’t find a plugin that does it, I’ve got Front-end editor, and PlugNedit installed.

I installed a new plugin, i think it was sitemap or something. And now my entire site has been down for a couple weeks. I have tried resetting the htaccess file and deactivating the plugins but nothing is working. Pleaseeee help! The full message I am getting is

confused about the search function

Hi.

I’m a bit confused about how the search functionality works. If I place the search box in the sidebar, and visit the blog section of the site, it works perfectly for searches carried out, but only returns items that are in the blog or portfolio sections.

However, if I place the same search box in the footer of an “about us” page, it doesnt show any results. Its almost like it doesnt want to search outside of that section.

So how can the same search work on one part of the website, and not on another?

I’ve tried the “search everything” plugin, but its the same problem.

To make it a bit clearer, lets consider the following

If i’m on my blog page, the URL is wp/category/blog/

If I search on my blog page for the term “bullen” the URL is wp/category/blog/?s=bullen&submit=

This returns successful results.

However, the local information page at the URL wp/local-information/

When I search here for the same term “bullen” no results are displayed and the URL is wp/local-information/?s=bullen&submit

Why is this? Its almost like its trying to search only in one place, rather than the entire site.

Yet the same search on the home page is also successful at wp/?s=bullen&submit=

Transfer my .com site to .org as is theme and all!

I started a wordpress site on wordpress.com and the theme I used was chaoticSoul, which is not available on www.remarpro.com my other problem is I no longer have the photo I used in the header. I want to keep my site EXACTLY the same – just moved over to www.remarpro.com so i can add addwords etc. Can I do this? Is there a way to simply “upgrade” from .com to .org I have already ‘exported’ and ‘imported’ posts etc. But this doesn’t help with the layout and them etc. Please help!!
