Can’t Embed Custom Code

Ever since I updated to WordPress 5.6 I can’t embed my video player so I restored to an iframe which isn’t good and very unwelcomed.

The plugin does post information as specified and was a decent option when we used several work arounds to get our posts up cleanly. We are no longer using this plugin because of several broken features. Browsing through the support page, it looks like all of my complaints are on there with ZERO response from the developers. The apostrophe issue is the major one (code &x27; instead of ‘), embeds are not working as they should, word wrapping instead of breaking and the text editor has a scrolling window that continuously types content instead of wrapping making it very hard to see content. We need simplicity in design just like the WordPress Posts and Pages. Appreciate the effort as it is a powerful tool, just not 100% complete yet. I have non web people using the plugin and they need simple simple simple.

Embed Issue for Getty Images

Have downloaded the Getty Images plugin but each time I attempt to embed an image it either just shows the shortened URL or gives me a message saying that the image has failed to embed. I’m using the Iconic One Theme.

What am I doing wrong?

Possible need for HACK – Strange happenings on my WP

Hello WP experts. I desperately need your help this weekend.

I have a WP blog I have setup that is using the 2011 theme. I’m keeping it VERY basic to discover what the problem is.

This deals with embedding FLV files into my blog. I have tried EVERY plugin around. The Plugin that has worked best for me to this point is Embedit.

But I believe my problem is NOT in the plugin, rather the WP core.

IT seems that I can properly embed an FLV with code created from Dreamweaver CS4 into the main page. All paths are find, video plays, all is good.

HOWEVER, the problem occurs when I try and add another video to another page or post. I am unable to get those videos to play at all.

It’s as if there is some hidden code in WP core that is disallowing multiple instances of FLV’s to play. At first I thought it might be due to hardcoded info in the SWFPlayer_Progressive.swf file.

Still not sure about that.

Then I tried breaking them all into separate folders and pointing paths to the folders. Didn’t work. I was able to use basic HTML so that the main page (above) and the secondary page;

But there is something wrong when I try to embed multiple videos in different places WITHIN the blog.

Can anyone decode this crisis? PLEASE…….

Hi,

I have problem with Contact form 7.

1) I am running it on a wordpress multisite and have multiple forms configured. But when I embed any form on any of my sites it gives a default form and does not embed the form I want.

The form I get has the fields Name*,email address*,website and comments. I don’t remember creating a form like this and assume it might be a default form.

I have tried deleting the existing forms and creating a new form but the same default form keeps coming up.

2) I thought of deactivating the plugin but in my network admin I do not see the plugin listed. Though in the dashboard of all my sites I see the Contact button at the bottom of the menu.

Hope someone can help me with this. Thanks!

Hey, I have a technology news/reviews website. For some reason, no one else who writes on my website can embed videos, yet I can. Is this because I am the administrator? Can I enable this in any way for anyone else?

I am trying to paste the code for Google maps and code from the Weather Channel. The embed code is not working… do I have to turn on or off some sort of security thingy.
