Two questions in one really…
I am using the Twenty Eleven theme, (largely because that’s what the how to book I am using recommends!)
It seems to be going OK, and meets my needs, but there’s one aspect I don’t like, which I want to change.
The text does not use the full width available in the frame it is displayed in, i.e. it does not go out to the full width of the banner header image across the top. This wastes quite a bit of screen space, and I’d like to make it wider.
Is this possible?
Closely related, (at least in my mind!), I’d like to use a different size for the banner across the top – again a larger one would make better use of a large screen. Everything seems to scale nicely for smaller screens, so I don’t anticipate any problems there.
Can I use larger banner images?

Now that Google insists on it for better mobile results I’m looking into re-enabling the mobile functions on my site.
I’m working with a child theme in Twenty Eleven but can’t remember how I turned off (What coding I used) the mobile functions of the site.
For some reason I dont seem to have a BEFORE version of the code that I usually save to my computer.
Can anyone advise how to sort this please?

]]>I’m getting confused trying to add a categories option to my page, which uses the Twenty Eleven theme.
I have a categories menu defined, and I can have it as the only menu there.
I also see the theme says it only supports one menu, which might explain things.
But what I wanted was to have categories of posts appearing as an EXTRA option on the existing menu, not a separate one in it’s own right… Is this possible with this theme please, and if so can some kind person point me at how to do it?
Sorry if this is basic, I am new to WordPress.

At the moment my front page is showing the most recent posts in full. Is there a setting somewhere that will let me only have the first bit of each post? I think I have seen this elsewhere…

I have a child theme of Twenty Eleven. On one page I would like to display one sidebar on the left and one on the right, content in between (but only on one page).
At the moment I am using the Custom Sidebars plugin to have different sidebars on different pages, but it does not extend to the feature i now need.
So I have two problems:
1. how to create a left-and-right sidebar page with twenty eleven
2. how to only have that particular page have two sidebars
I would be very grateful if someone could point me in the right direction

A client of mine is receiving spam comments on attachments.
I am using the twenty-eleven theme (child theme)and wordpress version 3.5.1.
I have disabled the comments under the settings/discussion section of the dashboard but still receiving comments.
I have read about the akismet plugin but I believe this costs??
Ideally I am looking for a ‘coding’ way of find a solution.

indeed, i dont like when I connect to the home page that the header image cover half screen
i want to give more space to the images of my gallery
there is a simple way to do it, or do i have to modify the css?
Can i customize from the menu of the theme?
another question is: is this theme specific for photoblogging?
