Admin access – HELP!

Hello all,

After more than a week trawling the Internet, fruitlessly, I decided to seek help here:

My site works perfectly, but I am having issues with the admin user. I have an active directory and users log in to register/add their websites – all these users logging in via google login and are getting registered as admin and they have access to entire website . I’m not sure how to fix it .

I can log in as admin. so cxan all the users unless I manually change their access to the website . the users can execute any admin option that is done through wp-admin/admin.php – that works perfectly for ALL – putting the site ar RISK.

Things I have tried (and don’t work):

I have removed .htaccess
I have removed all plugins and themes
I have made sure all files/directories have the right permissions (even changed them all to 777 to test)

None of the above helped.

I am at a loss. Any help before someone trashes the WordPress forever would be really appreciated.

Let roles other than admin access the user approval screen?

I’d like to use the new user manual approval feature but it has to be accessible to other roles besides admin (e.g. Editor, Contributor). I am not finding any AIOS capabilities listed using the URE plugin. Is there a way to give access to the user approval screen to other roles?

Only main admin account can access web stories dashboard.

When I am logged into my wp-admin (as the main admin of the site), I am able to access and use the web stories dashboard.

If I log in as any other user, I’m taken to a page with an error code.

There has been a critical error on this website. Please check your site admin email inbox for instructions.

I even tried this with a test log-in that admin access. The same issue happened. I’ve tried uninstalling other plugins, and everything is updated.

Editor can’t create a new Gallery

Hi,
I’ve bought the Pro version, and would like my site Editors to be able to create and manage the site Galleries.
By default it seems that only the site Admin can perform these tasks.
Is this possible?

Hello,

I often run managed WordPress websites where Editors have access to many WordPress features, but not manage_options. This means that Editors do not have access to set up Analytics themselves. It would be nice if there were a filter in place or a custom capability to allow Administrators to set this upon Editors, who would then give them access to set up their own Analytics.

Unfortunately, as of right now, I am unable to use this plugin because of this restriction.

Members capabilities for WP Smart Export

I need a custom role (“Members” plugin) to use WP Smart Export. Only admins can use it for now.
Is there a WP Smart Export slug I can add in Members settings for this role ?
Is there another way to allow a non-admin to export, without giving manage_options rights for this specific role ?

Hi there,

thank you for providing this simple and lightweight plugin, really appreciate it!
I am an admin on my network of sites, however, i have different people managing the content under editor roles, and they cant see the Top Bar link on the admin bar.
I am using a user role editor, but your plugin options are not visible under the role editor neither. i was wondering if there is a quick fix for this.
i looked around your code and i cant find where is the role restriction applied.

Access for Editors

Howdy,
a feature that is often missing in plugins, is access to that plugin from the Editor role. I try to maintain a clear division between Admin (usually me, for design and mild tech stuff) and Editor (the content manager). Getting redirects in place is more often than not an Editor’s job -> it’s about content and where to find it.
So it is a bit curious that only the Admin can access Redirection, but Editors cannot. Is there a way to give Editors access to this plugin or to make it compatible with User Role Editor?
