Selecting and Editing Text in Paragraph Blocks

My second issue with blocks, and incredibly frustrating. I am finding it impossible to select an entire body of text in a text block and delete or edit it. If I do a “select all” and the text gets highlighted, I can’t just delete the text because it deletes the entire block. Also, my text cursor won’t show up when I click in the text area, it won’t allow me to highlight and delete text. The only way I am able to edit text is by backspacing to delete. What gives here? If I can’t readily work with text in a text block, what’s the point of blocks?

I have the free version 1.7.7. I want to modify the text in the three footers area below the picture, and before the “read more.” I wrote and published it somehow years ago and now cannot find how to edit the text. Can someone let me know how to do that, and if the free version prevents editing and I need to purchase the pro version? Many thanks!

Can’t format recent comments

I’m working on a draft for a website I migrated over from wp.com. I can’t format the recent comments to the style I want. Doesn’t seem like Elementor Pro allows that. Is there anyway to do this?

Hi! I can see in your demo that words on bottom of the article (for ex. SEPTEMBER 14, 2016 or NO COMMENTS) are written with caps lock. In mine website, they aren’t.
So, should i modify them as i did for the buttons (using this method https://www.cssigniter.com/kb/easily-modify-theme-strings/, by the “Say What?” plugin) or there is an other method?

editing text in all sections

I have trouble creating the correct lay-out for my texts in Illdy. When editing texts there used to appear a ‘editing part’ on the lower part of my screen. This editing section provided me with a lot of options. But it does not appear anymore. So I can only edit text in the ‘side bar’ of the customizer. Do you know how I can get the editing section back? I mainly need it to create a new alinea (instead of just an new line) and insert a picture.

Cannot figure out how to delete text from previous editing

I’ve been building a site using the themify builder and I have some previous text under the “lifestyle” section that I am unable to remove. I have looked everywhere I cannot figure out what section it is under so I can erase it. If anyone has any advice, please let me know. Thanks.

I’m new to WordPress and am struggling trying to edit the text that appears on every page of my site, just below the header pic of our camper

I’ve searched in pages, posts, widgets and every other place i can find but can’t find the text to edit it??

Totally stumped

Any help, thoughts and pearls of wisdom will be very much appreciated…cant get hold of the guy who sorted the site, so at a bit of a loss.

It is nowhere to be found in the pages, in either language. I thought it would be in some widget, but not there apparently either.

I wonder if anyone has any idea?

Editing text in the widget area of Customizr

Hello:

I’m using a child theme of the Customizr theme and trying to edit text in the widget areas. I’m new to WordPress and I’m not good with html (I understand the concept, but don’t know where to put the code or how) so I’ve tried to cheat a little by creating a draft page and copying and pasting the words into the text widget, but I’m having problems.

1. In the first widget, I would like the title, Call Us, centred to the widget. Next, I’d like our business phone number larger and red (preferably to match the colour of the red skin) and without a white shadow.
2. In the second widget, I would like our hours listed, but in a mini table or at least with a tab between the days and the times and have it all be left aligned. Next I want to make a link to the driving directions on the google map on the Find Us page.
3. I haven’t done my homework on this yet, but I’d like the third widget to contain our FaceBook page so people can expand and read it right from the website. If you have suggestions, I’d love to hear them.

Page text editor only shows HTML code (& problem with VisualComposer editing)

Trying to update my pages, but encountered the following problem for the first time today:

When using the visual composer backend editor, I can no longer edit my text that is now only displayed with the HTML code. I can’t even cancel out of the edit screen. The only option is to go back a page and try again.

In the ‘classic mode’ it only shows the HTML code as well. I can make minor text updates, but since I don’t know HTML well I would like to see just the text.

The problem started 2 hours ago. Not sure what went wrong. I already reinstalled the latest WP version. The site itself seems to be running ok.

Need help to make my page edits though…
