The editor has encountered an unexpected error.
Then three options “attempt recovery”, “copy post text” and “copy error”.
This is what I get when I copy the error. When I click the “attempt recovery” nothing happens.

Can anyone shed some light on this and how to fix it? I vaguely remember it happened to me once before a couple of years ago, but I can’t for the life of me remember how I resolved it. Thank you for your time and help.
]]>I created a site years ago (my first attempt at WordPress). I found a theme that I used for the other sites I created for the same company. It was a set it and forget it thing. At the time we didn’t need the site that much and updates were rare.
Now I see that WordPress has completely changed. The ease of use of the theme I purchased is no longer there. There are blocks everywhere and the layout doesn’t make sense. I could provide what I am talking about for examples. If you can explain to me how to work within these constraints I would greatly appreciate it. I have searched endlessly on the wp.org site for answers but there is nothing straightforward and absolutely NOTHING that answers the simple “How to” questions. All I keep finding are mini instructionals on how to use the block system and constant pats on the back about how great it is.
Home page:
Wording that says “Welcome to…”. Where is that now located!? I see where to edit the bulk content but where is that simple little statement? (this would apply to other edits I may want to make).
Contact Us page:
I have had to uninstall the contact form I created because it no longer works. That really was the main reason to have a site. I’ve tried several others but nothing ever shows up!
Also, why is our logo sitting in a block on the back end of this page under the text block? It makes no sense. What happens if I remove it? Will it delete from somewhere on the page? How do I edit my Circle Flip theme now?
Things were so easy in the past now this is just way too confusing for a beginner that thought she didn’t do too bad the first time. This is not user friendly for someone who does not have extensive knowledge on the subject, had a good thing going, and now has to come back and update things on a site who’s back end looks ass-backward.
Please, please, please help me. If you could answer these seemingly simple questions about the pages that might set me on my way to figuring the rest out.
]]>I did post a request for support in the troubleshooting forum, but I’m taking a chance that someone might respond here. Is this the correct forum to ask for help specifically with the Creaytve Child Theme?
]]>I am still not finding any support or information or websites on the “Playne Themes” and I am guessing the developer has stopped supporting this theme, which is unfortunate. I did post a note in the Themes section, but the page called “Playne” does not resemble the theme I am using, and also, there are no current posts or information.
Shall I assume that support for this template is dead?
]]>I have tried checking the plugins and nothing changes the status. All of them are also up to date. Two days ago, I was able to make edits/changes and save everything.
I don’t know how to fix this and have search for similar issues in the forums, but find nothing.
Please help! Thank you!

The additional issue (I bring up because it seems to be related) is that my categories have disappeared and I cannot add new ones at all. This, again, is regardless of theme or active plugins.
After running some tests on a localhost, I have only been able to unearth that there appears to be something wrong with the syntax of my database, these are the errors I get using the DEBUG mode:
WordPress database error: [You have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near ‘) ORDER BY t.name ASC’ at line 1]
SELECT t.*, tt.* FROM wp_terms AS t INNER JOIN wp_term_taxonomy AS tt ON t.term_id = tt.term_id WHERE tt.taxonomy IN (‘category’) AND t.term_id NOT IN() ORDER BY t.name ASC
I have no idea what any of that means, despite my best efforts to decipher it.
Any help would be very much appreciated. Built this site for a client and the break seemed extremely sudden. I don’t manage the backend of the host, I have to communicate with someone to make any changed that way, but I’m trying to fix it on my localhost so I can just send him a new site that works.
]]>For example:
I would like my paragraph to end like this.
So when I begin the new one it shows this way.
______________________________________________________
The way it appears now seems like a complete writers nightmare.
If this line would be the new paragraph I was beginning, this is the way it would appear on the preview.
In the editing, it shows correct, but not in the preview.
Please help.
