WordPress 6.3: link management is a nightmare

WordPress 6.3 has many problems, but one of the most baffling is the way links are handled.

Say I want to open a link in a new tab:

I have to: Click the URL –> Click “Edit” –> Click “Advanced”. Only then “open in new tab”, “no-follow” etc show up.

Previously you just clicked the link and could pick if the link should open in a new tab right there.

Why change this?

Why is something that took me less than a second before, now takes takes me 5 seconds?

Can somebody explain the thought process that went into this?

Or even better, roll it back and forget it ever happened?

Not possible to edit?

Clicking on edit brings the form where target is gray (not possible to write)

Can’t create more social platform links

Trying to edit a user’s profile — When I click “Add new social platform” to add more social icons/links, it just jumps to the top of the page. So it won’t let me add more than one social link. Which makes the plugin pretty useless. I’ve tried deleting and re-downloading the plugin without success.

Losing link to categories

I’m using the Linkview plugin for a small website for our small animal club where I rely on the links based on categories. For the third time a lot of links lost their relationship with their category. Because this can only be repaired editing the links one for one it is a lot of work. (It would be nice when editing can be done for multiple links at once.) I don’t know why en when these linked categories disappear … Hope someone has a clue …

6.0 and “show edit links when logged in” don’t work

Hello,

After the upgrade to 6.x.y (at the moment 6.0.12) the option “Show edit links when logged in as administrator” don’t work anymore.

Before 6.x.y, that option worked normally. I see “edit”, but not with the newest version.

Is it possible to change the button text within the sitewide store notice from ‘DISMISS’ to ‘OK’.

I just took over administering a site (www.hio.com ) there is a button int eh middle of the page “Get my Instant quote” I would like to edit the hyperlink to link to ( www.hiowebquote.com ) but I cannot for the life of me figure this out. Most of my knowledge is with DNN but I am wanting to move to WordPress more. Any and all help would be greatly appreciated. thank you for your time and effort.

GoDaddy 4.0 update Schedule Time, Add Media, Add Tags none working

Hi guys, I’m not very technical, so please be gentle .. I saw that GoDaddy had some FTP issues, so I re-installed version 4.0 again, but to no avail. It’s weird, I can write a post but I can’t add media, adds, categories and I can’t change the publish time – it shows the correct link php thingies so it looks like it’s trying to send the right instructions, but it’s not going anywhere it just lets me click and then it just sits there, no whirling timer or anything, it’s like it’s not being taken as an action.
Hope that makes sense? First time I’ve had an issue with anything so now I’m a little stuck!
All help appreciated.
