I am stuck trying to solve this problem:
I had a lot of pages for which i created parent pages.
It means that for instance my old pages had an url like
www.website.fr/page1
and now their url is
www.website.fr/parentpage/page1
Problem is that i just noticed that i can reach bot pages
www.website.fr/parentpage/page1 AND www.website.fr/page1
Each url is displaying the one and unique page (same page number in wordpress back office) so i am sure that there is no duplicate.
I am using some plugins including Yoast SEO and woodmart theme but both are updated and desactivating them do not solve the problem.
I was using a cache plugin (wp rocket) but it is not activated.
I tried to change permalink settings again and again…but nothing happens.
The only problem i see is that in the source code of the page i see no canonical link even if yoast seo is activated.
Do you have any idea ? Is it a server side issue ?
whitesmiledental.ie/nearest-dentist-to-me
it ranks on page 1 on google (ireland) – but also out of nowhere there is a kind of double URL too that is ranking also above the original blog post ranking
whitesmiledental.ie/nearest-dentist-to-me/nearest-dentist-to-me-2
this second url only seems to be a page with page title bar showing and my featured image of my original blog showing too but really small.
I did not create this second page and I dont know why it ranks? Does anyone know why this would happen and how to stop it?

mysite.com/post-type/taxonomy2/postname
mysite.com/post-type/taxonomy3/postname
My question is how does the plugin define which taxonomy/URL will be the default version? Is it possible I can set define specific Taxonomy to be the default for specific post?
Or if I just leave it as is, will it not affect my seo performance in Google due to duplicate URL’s

]]>Recently, I have created a website on WordPress with two categories i.e. example.com/written-test and example/oral-test.
Now, when I am trying to create a post using both posts then it is not working properly.
Example….
I want Two Posts
First, example.com/written-test/America
Second, example.com/oral-test/America
But When I Am trying to publish second post then it is something like example.com/oral-test/America-2 instead of example.com/oral-test/America. I checked all posts under the category “oral-test” but no one is identical so How can I resolve this problem, I want URL example.com/oral-test/America not example.com/oral-test/America-2
PLEASE HELP ME!

On my website https://www.thechannel46.com/category/life/relationships/page/2/ and https://www.thechannel46.com/category/relationships/page/2/ have the same page content. There is clear duplication of URLs. I think this will cause problems in indexing. Is yoast creating these duplicate pages?
