I am using WP-ContactForm from Ryan Duff and when people fill out my contact form I don’t get their email address. Does anyone know how to fix this?

Hi,

I’ve installed the Contact Form plugin from Ryan Duff and it all works great. However, I’ve been struggling to customize the layout a bit.

In particular, I want to make the message (=textarea field) area a bit wider – but somehow increasing the “cols” value of the textarea field doesnt help.
I’m using the deault css-style here… Can someone maybe help me out? Or maybe someone has customized the contact form layout already and can send me a link?

WP Contact Form Textarea

I’ve installed the WP Contact Form by Ryan Duff. All went well. The only problem I’m running into is the textarea size. I’ve been trying to make the area smaller. I have edited both the cols and row fields in two places, but when I went to my site, the rows would be smaller but not the width or cols.

Does anyone have any ideas on how to edit the width of the textarea?

I installed the wp-contactform and when viewed in internet explorer the div merges with one of my sidebars on my template. It doesn’t do this at all in Firefox which is what I mainly use. Can someone post what part of the html makes it do this? you can see it at https://www.MaxWeisel.com/contact/

Wp-contact form and wpphpmailer

I am using wordpress 2.0.1 and ryan duff’s latest wp contact form 1.4 for wordpress 2.0. Installation is okay but after you click on submit in the form this is the error that comes up on the web:

Warning: mail(): “sendmail_from” not set in php.ini or custom “From:” header missing in c:\sites\Single20\pupilotboy\webroot\wp-content\plugins\wp-contact-form\wp-contactform.php on line 146

I am using wpphpmailer and it is working for all my other email features on the site with no problems. Does anyone have any suggestions regarding this? I appreciate any help!!

WP-Contact form not working…or is it?

I was going to post this over at the codex’ “plugin compatibility” as a “no”, but some people claim to have this working with 2.0b1.

When using Ryan Duff’s WP-Contact Form plugin and 2.0b1, I get this error:

“Fatal error: Call to undefined function: load_plugin_textdomain() in /home/spiderkn/public_html/wp-admin/options-contactform.php on line 8”

Line 8 being:

“load_plugin_textdomain(‘wpcf’); // NLS”

This occurs in the admin section, when you click on “Contact Form” to edit the prefs. Anyone had luck getting this to work with 2.0b1? Thanks.

Hi. I’ve installed Ryan Duff’s Contact Form plugin, but with no luck. I’m using WordPress 1.5.1.3 and ContactForm 1.3. My only other activated plugin is ‘the excerpt Reloaded’.

When I filled in the Options > ContactForm page it didn’t send back the QuickTag information and I have no idea what code I have to put on my page to get the form to appear and work.

Sorry this is a basic question but I can’t find an answer in the archives. I’d appreciate some help. Or, if you know of a better way to add a contact form to my site, let me know.

Upgraded my contact form plugin – Now it’s not working

Using Ryan Duff’s contact form plugin, I upgraded to version 1.3. Now it’s not sending me messages.

I followed the instructions to the letter AFAIK. Noticed that he said to delete the old options-contactform.php in /wp-admin/, but it was in the plugins directory where it’s now supposed to be anyway. In any event I deleted it and wp-contactform.php, reinstalled the new ones, activated, and now cannot send messages. The form “looks” right, but no message comes through.

FWIW, I was recently tinkering with changing my admin and contact form email address to a new one, as well as instituting a redirect from the “me{{{at_sign}}smalltownproject.org” I can access in Plesk to the new address. But in trying to solve this problem I’ve put everything back to where it was before. The previous contact form did work as I tested it and also got a message from someone. The current one has lost one message from a reader and many test messages (i.e., none has gone through). I have installed a couple of other well known plugins since the time that the previous form worked in tests. If there might be a conflict of some sort, I’m glad to list them. Any ideas? [edit]Oh, one more thing, I’ve noticed that my htaccess file cannot be set on any permission other than 600. It refuses anything else. It’s also the only file that lists “group” as Apache. I’ve assumed this was either a feature of wp1.5.2 or something instituted by my webhost. But they are Laughing Squid and host lots of wp blogs, and everything else seems to be working fine, so I doubt that’s a problem.

Contact Form plugin on outside of “blog” directory?

I have created a static page in the root of my site (www.rpsports.net/mail.php) for Ryan Duff’s contact form plugin. My blog is actually installed in a directory (www.rpsports.net/blog). When I insert the tag into the “mail.php” page, the form obviously does not appear.

Is there anyway that I can work around this to use the form and still keep the “mail.php” page in my site’s root? The source for
the “mail.php” page can be viewed here:
