Migration keeps failing. Import SQL to WP?

Hey, first time using this plugin, but it seems to fail every time despite best efforts.

We are migrating a very old Drupal site (unable to check the version, as we receive ‘error’ when trying to pull a status report… what a clunky CMS).

The settings.PHP file was blank for port and prefix, but I was able to get access to the server to confirm the prefix (the same as the db and username prefix). We also allowed remote MySQL connections using the new hostname/IP. Yet connections still fail.

The FAQ and support tickets say, ‘oh just manually import the Drupal DB to WP’. But we have some major concerns around that that I’m hoping you can help with:

Would this not overwrite what is already in WP? We’ve built the new site and don’t want that data to be wiped out.
I’ve exported and imported WP SQL DB’s before, there were specific steps to follow, configurations to take care of, items to check, etc… where can I find that information? Or, can you advise the steps required to do this.
Is it that we import the Drupal DB to the WP MySQL instance, then what do we put into the plugin? What connection details? Would it still be the Drupal admin details, or something else?

Thanks for creating this plugin. It is literally the only option for people who don’t want to dig around in the mud with code to try and free people from this archaic CMS.

I moved variable products from my old drupal site. When I purchased, the tool only migrated simple products (of which I was not aware).

I contacted support, who extended their migration production to also cater for variable products. After this, the migration tool worked perfectly!

Very thankful of this tool and would recommend this product every day.

Drupal and WordPress login credentials not accepted

Hello there!

I am desperately trying to use your plugin to migrate a Drupal Database into WordPress. The Http connection is successful. However – the Database info of neither the Drupal site (on another domain) nor the WordPress site (manually imported exported Drupal Database) are being accepted. The Database credentials are correct in both cases but your Plugin doesn’t connect. What could be the reason?

Just now finished using this plugin and everything went without problems. Although it was a simple Drupal 6.31 site, there was stuff not transferred as the Pro version (pay for) would have been required. Didn’t need to go that far and what was moved was done correctly & quickly.

Would recommend the Free version to anyone.

This paid plugin does partially it’s work.
At first the pages are imported but not the blog items from the Drupal site.
After studying in the WordPress database itself I found I need to change blog into post in de table posts and field post_type.
I asked them this question but got a strange response something with widgets.
So yes they answer but forget to read the question
custom_blocks aren’ supported without another paid plugin

For people not willing to go into the database I wouldn’t recommend this.

Hello, my old Drupal database that redirects to WordPress was always very heavy (508mb), I understand that it must follow in the database for the redirects to work, but what are the tables that must remain for everything to work good?

It happens that all the old Drupal database that includes heavy tables such as search_index, field_revision_body, field_data_body, etc., take away my space. Are they necessary for FG Drupal to work with WordPress? or I can delete the old WordPress database or not?
