I just started working for a Real Estate company which are now transitioning from Drupal to WordPress. I’ve been able to help in most of progress and its nearly done. The problem here is they have a custom Drupal module they would like to implement in WordPress as a plugin. So far I’ve done a lot of progress. However I wanna know if its possible to “translate” specific Drupal functions to WP ones (using the WP Codex as a guideline). Is it a good idea? Any thoughts on this, has it been done before?
Many thanks
Andre
]]>I need to migrate a drupal site to wordpress. This has to be on the same url whitout losing my SEO.
I have a plugin that does the migrating and SEO stuff (fg-drupal-to-wordpress), but the problem is that I cannot use this on the same domain. I would have to install wordpress in a subfolder or something in order to do the migration.
Does anybody know how I can easily migrate the site to wordpress without losing my seo?
kind regards

I have already successfully converted over everything and frankly I am peeved that the Drupal to WordPress migrate service that has a great tutorial is missing this and it seems to be some big old secret to do.
Any insight or if you have a good working tutorial that does include migrating the user data from Drupal to WordPress…please let me know. Thanks!
