Just received an email from DropBox:
“Action Required: Token and Permission Updates”, in particular: “Starting September 30th, 2021, the Dropbox OAuth flow will no longer return long-lived access tokens. It will instead return short-lived access tokens, and optionally return refresh tokens. Please be sure to review, test, and move to the new permission model before then.”
Does this mean that this plugin will stop working in September 2021? Does the plugin support short-lived access tokens?

Hi, i just installed Updraft and am very excited about it, but when i click the link to authenticate Dropbox i just keep getting the 404 error page on my site. What am I doing wrong?

Missing Dropbox option

Hey BackwPup gurus.

Just curious because I would love to connect BackwPup with dropbox as I have on other wordpress sites I have but for some reason it is not an option.

Thoughts? Ideas? Work arounds?

Any help appreciated.

Dropbox won't stay authicated

Hi,
I use this plugin on many of my sites to backup to dropbox. Just one one site however the dropbox authentication won’t ‘stick’. I authenticate, it changes to green “Authenticated”, I click save and it switches back to red “Not authenticated!”. Naturally, the backups are failing because there’s not destination set to backup to.

I can’t figure out why its happening just on this site. I’ve tried deleting the plugin and reinstalling.

Dropbox authentication fail: This session has expired.

I’ve reviewed several threads on Dropbox authentication, but none of the workarounds there resolved this issue.

In the “To: Dropbox” tab, I’m prompted as follows
“Not authenticated! Create Account
Reauthenticate (Sandbox) Reauthenticate (full Dropbox)”

Each of the links leads me to my logged in drop-box setting, (or the drop-box login page if I log out).

When logged into drop box I get the following error:
“This session has expired. Please return to the app to try again.”

I disabled all other plugins, I am not running Google Analytics as plugin, and I removed Google Analytics from the site to be certain that was not the conflict.

Version 3.0.7 authentication with Dropbox fails

I think this is a new bug. After updating to version 3.0.7 the dropbox authentication fails. At first, it seems to go alright. But after saving the job settings the authentication is lost. Downgrading back to 3.0.4 solved it (I did not have 3.0.6 available).
I had this on two different sites on different servers so far.
