Drop Shadows on Featured Images

I have an archive page that shows, for each post, a featured image and the post title. I’d like to apply a drop shadow to the featured image. I’ve tried a few different ways: (1) Editing the Styles -> Block -> Featured Image -> Additional CSS (this would be global); (2) Adding a selector that adds the drop shadow and applying that selector on my archive page to the featured image, then adding CSS to add the drop shadow.

I do manage to get the drop shadow, but… The featured images are of various sizes and are scaled to appear 200×200 pixels (“Contain”), so that for images that aren’t square the drop shadow appears around the 200×200 space rather than around the image itself. That is, there’s a white margin around either the horizontal or vertical side of the image that shadow includes.

I’ve tried playing with the CSS selectors to only target the image, but haven’t found the trick. Any suggestions appreciated! (Or, if I’m going about this all the wrong way, please let me know!). Thanks.

Adding drop shadow behind transparent menu

Hello,

Is there a way I can add a drop shadow from the very top of the home page underneath the transparent menu (the home page only) so the site’s logo & menu options are easier to read?

If possible, I’d rather use additional css than install a plugin.

I need a way to turn off this box around images globally and the shadow on my client’s website. I did it before with CSS, but I had help and I’m not sure what code to use now. I wish Mesmerize just made things like this easier. It could be such a great theme if there were more options to turn things on and off.

Hi,
is it possible to drop shadow on header link ?
I have Header background image witch is colorful, dark on the outside, and light in the middle. The menu on the PC looks fine, but the text on the menu is not visible on the mobile phone. Most text is on the dark, but also fall on the light background. Therefore, I want to put a shadow so that the same text appears on both a light and a dark background.
Is there a possibility to do this with Additional CSS code in Storefront ?

Is it possible to add a drop shadow on all slides only? I can see the shadow on each slide when I hover a slide that has a link.
I would like the slide to always show the drop shadow.
