Link a text field to a drop down menu

I attended a WP class earlier this year and was shown how to make a body text item into multiple selectable links in the form of a drop down menu. Unfortunately I have forgotten how this was achieved and have had no success trying to find out by searching. What I remember was highlighting a word and making into a link. Then additional links could be added and indented to the right to create the drop down. Then when you click the word (or preferably hover over it) the drop down items are shown and one can be selected. My intention here is to create links to several Anchors on the same page.

I’m using the Astra theme Gutenberg editor and Safari browser on a MacBook Pro M1. All latest OS & versions.

I am just starting on this site. I am using Storefront with Boutique.

I want to add drop down menus for product categories, when I go to menus under appearance and select categories, it only recognizes “Uncategorized”. I do not show the box for drop down menus.

How can I create them? I

Drop down menus go away before you can click

It is impossible to have drop down menus using Gutenify because the menu disappears before one can get a chance to click on the item them want.

There is also an issue with the page headers being layered over top of the drop downs, but this I can probably figure out how to fix with custom HTML. Wanted to let you know about that as well so you can fix the bug.

But the main thing is the menus are very frustrating because they disappear after you scroll past the first item. Can you send code or update to fix this bug?

A nice theme, I like it, but the menu is driving me crazy. Even though I designate certain pages as drop downs, they appear as top menu items in a random order. I want the Contact page to be the last menu item, it is stuck in the middle somewhere.

This is not the theme for you if you care about those things

drop down menu not working with latest wordpress version 5.5–en_GB

After updating to WordPress version 5.5–en_GB the drop-down menus have stopped working. When I revert to a backup version of the site, using the previous version of WordPress the site works fine. At the moment I have kept the site using WordPress 5.4.2. The site has a bespoke theme that has been running for 10 years.

Following the upgrade to WordPress 5.5 the drop down navigation menus quit working. Only the top level displays on the navigation bar, then hovering does not activate the drop down menus.

Drop down menus will not work on desktop using Chrome, Safari or MS Edge browsers. Mobile seems fine. Any help would be appreciated as I am not savvy at making backend or code changes. I am only familiar with making content updates :/

Hello. I have one menu on my site,
Within it, I have a drop-down menu that is social links. Is there a way to name drop-down menus? If there is another way to achieve the same thing if this isn’t possible, let me know. This would be nice for other drop-downs as well.

News filter not working after 5.1 update

Hello – I updated wordpress and plugins a couple of days ago and since then the filter on our newspage isn’t working – the ‘search’ button has disappeared. I’m not sure if it’s related to the update or due to something different. Does anyone how how I can fix this?

Also, the drop down menus on some of the pages have stopped working. Again, unsure if it’s due to the update or something else.

If anyone has any advice I’ve really appreciate it!
