My domain is registered, and the site is hosted, at Ionos. I am satisfied with the hosting cost but their registration, at $17/yr, can be improved. I am hoping I can transfer the registration to CloudFlare while keeping my hosting package at Ionos.
If this is possible, where can I find instructions? I know enough to get by but more than enough to get myself in trouble. =/
Thank you!
Maggie
P.S. I have other WP issues on the site which I intend to correct once I learn how. I also have this same issue with several sites as well as several unused domains I am looking to sell. So the $8/yr savings I gain by transferring registration to CloudFlare is multiplied by 10. I realize this is not relevant to my question, just filling in some backstory. =)
]]>I am using this plugin & widget and it works well. As I am starting to offer content in several languages, I have created two different versions of the widget (English and German), and I would like to the following:
I did not manage to do so, because if I add the language parameter within the widget’s URL settings, it all gets mixed up and an invalid URL is the consequence.
How can I fix this?
Kind regards,
Bernhard
]]>After reading through the Master List for errors in fixing wordpress sites, as well as searched this forums, I could not find a precise answer to an issue I’m having.
I created a site, called studbuds.org around 25 hours earlier. Everything worked fine, however having came up with a better name, I changed the host name of the site through the Dashboard Control Panel into: www.learningtolearn101.com
Instantly, this caused the following error:
The site can’t be reached.
learningtolearn101.com’s server DNS address could not be found.
I’ve searched through the net for possible answers, one being “Propagation” occurring? However a lot of people reported not having any downtimes in changing their host names so I’m not sure if my case is an isolated one.
Another one, and what I’m a little anxious about, is if its a problem with my ISP or any other troubles. Moreover, I am unable to access the admin control panel of my site with the old name “studbuds.org”.
If I try to go to the old site: “studbuds.org” – it leads me to the new site “learningtolearn101.com”, which still has the issue of server DNS could not be found.
Thank you for your time in reading this, and I deeply appreciate any help or advice you can provide.
]]>I just moved to DreamHost and installed www.remarpro.com. I want to know if, once I cancel my plan and get the refund, I keep my registered domain. If so, can I renew the domain registration with wordpress.com when I have to (June 2016), or do I need to migrate it to another registrar?
Thanks!
]]>How do I register a domain with WordPress?
]]>I confused wordpress.com with .org. I paid a small fee for a custom domain, and about twenty minutes later while setting up my blog realized I’d taken the wrong option. I managed to cancel the transaction (well within the window for canceling domain names.)
Now I’m trying to open up my site on www.remarpro.com and when I try to use that domain name unsurprisingly it is not available. Yet I don’t have access to it. So my question is, is there anything I can do? Will it possibly become available again soon?
Any help is appreciated, sorry for being a total newbie.

Also, is there an automatic renew option that I could choose?
Thanks so much,
Alex
