Domain name has doing_wp_cron=”” attached in URL bar

My domain https://www.craftsteading.com now resolves to: https://www.craftsteading.com/?doing_wp_cron=1658382680.0711240768432617187500
This looks bad in the URL bar.
The problem seems to be the website is trying to force a WP-CRON action to load first.
I tried deactivating all plugins but that did not fix the issue.
I also tried deleting define( ‘ALTERNATE_WP_CRON’, true ); from wp-config.php but no luck there either.

For some time I have been experiencing some issues with weird things being appended to my URLs when visiting my site (www.homecarepulse.com).

?doing_wp_cron= and then a string of text is being appended to the end of every page on the site. Also, at the end of that a “#” is being appended to the very end of the URL on every page except for the blog page and individual posts.

I have tried deactivating plugins, but nothing seems to help. Does anyone know what files could be causing this? I know the ?doing_wp_cron is related to scheduling posts or anything that uses scheduling like backupbuddy (which I don’t have installed).

I tried disabling the cron, but it crashed my whole website and I had to reverse the change.

You should know…that if you’re having issues with doing_wp_cron appending to all of your URLs and you don’t have BackUpBuddy installed, this plugin may be causing the issue.

I didn’t read through all the posts here so if someone else already reported the problem, sorry for the duplicate. But quite frankly I just wasted enough time trying to figure out what what was causing the problem since all of my URLs were going crazy. I turned off all the security and backup plugins…blah blah blah and nothing changed. I finally turned this off and voila…cron crap gone.

Plugin deactivated = No more crons gone wild.

With this theme I’m getting a doing_wp_cron extension after the URL. Once I’m there and move around I don’t see it, but initially going in — in Firefox or Safari — I see it.

At https://mattmendez.com I get:

Went to my site yesterday and the www.oliveknolls.com now redirects to www.oliveknolls.com/?doing_wp_cron=1348001767.5851008892059326171875. The site looks the same but obviously the part after the / should not be there. Anyone experiencing this? Have I been hacked?

Whenever any link on my site (mabellearts.ca) is hit, “?doing_wp_cron” is always added to the end of the URL.

So for example, if you go to https://mabellearts.ca – often it resolves to https://mabellearts.ca/?doing_wp_cron

I first noticed it when I couldn’t get my RSS feed to resolve properly with some readers.

Can someone point me in the right direction to correct this?
