The problem is that despite having configured the Redis client and having it activated, it doesn’t work for me at the W3 Total Cache level.
The moment I activate it, get errors such below
[Fri Jan 31 12:23:59.897677 2025] [proxy_fcgi:error] [pid 13849:tid 14305] [client 72.14.201.246:0] AH01071: Got error 'PHP message: Connection refusedPHP message: Connection refusedPHP message: Connection refusedPHP message: Connection refusedPHP message: Connection refusedPHP message: Connection refused', referer: https://www.google.com/
In wp-admin.php
define( 'WP_REDIS_SCHEME', 'unix' );
define( 'WP_REDIS_PATH', '/home/USER/.redis/redis.sock' );
define( 'WP_CACHE_KEY_SALT', 'domain.tld');
define( 'WP_REDIS_DATABASE', '0');
This configuration work fine if activate Redis Object Cache. Conect with socket, and works.
I have tried to search for solutions for w3 but I don’t see anything.
Recently, my host changed their backend from cPanel to DirectAdmin. This did not affect any of my current sites, however, I’m working to set up a new site with a new domain.
My DNS pointers are all set to the host, I’ve followed all the instructions in the manual, and the temporary site & its admin panel load fine. The final step to convert it to the domain is to edit the address within WordPress to change it from ” https://olddomain.com/templocation/ ” to ” https://newdomain.com “
Upon making this change, the temporary site no longer functions (as expected), however, the new domain name does not take over. Instead, I continue to see the default DirectAdmin placeholder website.
Are there extra steps in DirectAdmin that I need to take? What step may I have missed? I need some help troubleshooting this as I really want to get my new site up & running ASAP.
TIA!
Perhaps there are different causes for these two problems. From the administrator, I understand that at the three times last week, (too) much Physical Memory is being requested and errors occur as a result. I see this reflected in the graphs they sent me at the same times. According to hosting party, there are then processes running in the background. I know that Updraft’s automatic backup process was not running at those times. I can’t get access to DirectAdmin. I do get access to phpAdmin.
Question 1: How can I find out which process(es) are taking up so much memory in the background?
For the page loading problem, I want to do the following: thin out some plugins, use WP-Sweep once and maybe start using WP Super Cache. Although I don’t notice any difference with the latter on a test website yet.
Question 2: Are there any other options?
Thanks for thinking with me!

We are unable to access the dashboard and were wondering if there’s any way to restore the website to its state prior to this change of URL. Can we debug the text code or is there any way to access the control panel in directadmin? For every move we make we get the same error code.
Kind regards

ISSUE:
After update to WP 5.8 I went to a page to edit it. I clicked “view” and received error:
“Not Found. The requested URL was not found on this server. Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.”
Dashboard > Site Health Status > The REST API encountered an unexpected result:
“`The REST API is one way WordPress, and other applications, communicate with the server. One example is the block editor screen, which relies on this to display, and save, your posts and pages.
The REST API call gave the following unexpected result: (404)

404 Not Found

Not Found

The requested URL was not found on this server.

Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

.`”
I read instructions about 5.8 to log out, clear cache etc. and log back in, however, it didn’t resolve issue.
Any help is appreciated. I am a novice here. Thank you.
I’ve installed WordPress using DirectAdmin.
Everything should be fine, but the WordPress setup menu does not appear in the browser. When I try to access the website where the setup menu starts, it shows – This page isn’t working gantiadi.ge is currently unable to handle this request. HTTP ERROR 500
Here are steps that I tried after Googled the error:
1. Created .htaccess file (I could not find it and so created myself)
2. Created and configured DB in wp.conf file
3. Contacted my host provider and updated PHP 7.4.3 (Same as WordPress)
4. Uploaded WordPress files once again
None of this helped. Could you please someone help what can be wrong? Before uploading WordPress files, I deleted old website files so there can be anything that I’ve accidentally deleted and this can be the reason?
Thank you
