I can’t use subdomain from different domain than the parent domain, here’s what I use:
– alfa.erapotensia.com (default site) ok
– beta.erapotensia.com (subsite) ok
– indoittraining.com (subsite) ok, but currently map temporarily to other wp single site
– fresh.indoittraining.com (subsite) somehow the dns not mapped to the wp multisite dir
Basicaly it fail when using subdomain from different domain than the defult site, but it work using the different domain without adding subdomain.
– I’ve map A record for the fresh.indoittraining.com pointing to the same IP with the default site
– I’ve map the dir of subdomain fresh.indoittraining.com pointing to the default site dir
Help to make fresh.indoittraining.com running as subsite on alfa.erapotensia.com

What could be the problem?
EDIT: Dutch is the site’s main language.

In a network, you can create “infinite” blogs (table wp_blogs in the db), but the site always remains one (table wp_site): strictly speaking, I think that creating a new site (not a blog) can also use another structure for the url…
E.g:
main site: catalogo.it (site_id=1, blog_id=1)
sub site: catalogo.it/extra/ (site_id=1, blog_id=2)
new site: nuovo.it (???)

I need to do this so I can have one rule for dozens of affiliate links with marketing tags used throughout our traffic sources.
I don’t see why the plugin author would not allow regex to be used for linking to offsite resources because it would be simple to support and probably only a line or two of code in the area the redirect happens so I imagine I must be doing something wrong.
Can someone weigh in on this that knows the plugin and let me know if this was an intended result or if I have my redirect wrong? If it is not currently supported I wonder if the author would accept a pull request from me if I change the tool to allow this. Since my time is limited, if their are active developers, let me know if you are willing to modify this plugin and add a pull request in Github and how much you would charge. I know it’s not guaranteed to be included in the software but I would prefer it so my redirects don’t break during upgrades. If it’s a good price I will just have someone else do it.

]]>For google/SEO purposes, they would like to have the .ca address as the main domain. Can I just change the site address in settings to have it appear as if it’s on the .ca domain? I’m a bit scared to try it to see what happens. I know you can do this if it’s inside a folder on the same domain, but not sure about using another one altogether.

I have 3 languages on my site: EN, DE, HU.
English and Deutsch are working fine, but I don’t want to create pages for the Hungarian version, because we already have an old website (sadly not wordpress) for that. I just simply want to relink the Hungarian flag to that site. (The hungarian flag is not appearing in the menu because I didn’t create any HU pages jet….)
Is there a way to do this?
