We have some custom functionality on our website where deposits can be paid for products which are available to pre order. (I’m not using an existing plugin for this, it’s a custom built plugin)
When the product returns to stock, we then send out an email with a payment link to the customer requesting a payment for the outstanding amount, the link takes the customer to the Order Pay Endpoint with updated order totals (e.g. excluding the deposit amount). This all works as expected.
We’ve had a customer pay the outstanding amount via the Order Pay endpoint using Stripe, but the transaction is missing entirely from the Stripe dashboard, despite the process adding a new note to the order with the information “Order charge successful in Stripe. Charge: XXXXXX. Payment Method: Card ending in XXXX”
I think i might be missing from the dashboard because it’s using the same Charge ID as the original transaction, i guess this value probably needs to be unique?
But I’m not too sure how I’d tell your payment gateway it needs a new charge id for this request. Ideally i still want this attached to the same order. ]]>

I’m using WooCommerce Deposit, and I have two specific cases where I need some help:
- I would like the conversion value to reflect the full amount of the order instead of just the deposit amount.
- Sometimes, I see conversions triggered for balance payments, which are not new orders. I would prefer not to have conversions counted for these balance payments.
Could you provide guidance or a solution for these situations?
PS: I’m aware that get_cart_contents_total allows me to retrieve the full amount as I’m using it for other functions, but this is about the limit of my skills.

]]>Our Stripe account was closed back on June 10th, but WooPayments kept processing customer payments up until today. Is this balance stuck with WooPayments or Stripe?
What do we need to do to access these funds? I cannot get any answer from WooCommerce WooPayments support regarding this issue.
I am trying to figure out if we need to refund and re-charge our customers or if we will eventually receive this payment balance.

]]>Here’s what I’m trying to achieve: I need customers to select options for their services so I can prepare for their appointment. While I don’t charge at the time of booking fully, I do collect a deposit. Essentially, I need only the deposit to be paid online, but I want customers to be aware of the due at appointment amount.
I want to display something like this:
- Full Services Requested: $95
- Due at Appointment: $40
- Due Today: $55
Here’s how I really need the pricing to work (with $ examples):
- Base deposit: $25
- If a customer selects options totaling $70, $30 should be added to the deposit, $40 should be due at the appointment. Could be different amounts, depending on what was chosen.
- Both amounts should contribute to the Full Service Requested.
What do I need to configure for each option so that the deposit amount is calculated into “Due Today” and the rest into “Due at Appointment” and “Full Services Requested”? Also, it’d be great if I can do this with certain forms, not via global settings.
