At some point, I created a WP site but didn’t progress it. I have since created a different website with my ISP and I want to delete my WP site. However, I can’t seem to find any way of doing this. Sorry, I’m a humanities grad not a coder so I have *no idea* how to do this! Help?!
]]>Many years ago a website using WordPress was created and I got passed on the role of ‘owner’. We did not do much with the website, I actually only knew how to post messages and create new pages. However, recently, we decided we want to delete the entire website (a little bit of context: the website was linked to a students association, which has been merged with another one, so the website is no longer needed).
Unfortunately, I cannot find how to delete the website… If I look in Settings > general there is supposed to be a button which can be selected to delete the website permantenly, but it doesn’t show up in my settings.
Does anyone has an idea how to fix this problem?
Many thanks!

Thanks,

Currently the old files are taking up around 4 gb of space on my hosting account.

]]>To make matters worse, I can no longer log in to the account which is now linked to that domain, as the password provided to me does not work and the email used to make that account is not showing as registered (so I can’t log in as I can’t get a new password emailed to me). I’ve had to make a new account just to post this support question.
This means that I unintentionally own someone else’s website and have no way AT ALL of deleting it. I am incredibly unhappy about this, for obvious reasons.
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
