Unable to delete anonymous (empty) comment, not receiving new comments

On 7/29 I received a blank comment from “anonymous”. When I go to the comments screen all prior comments to this one have a checkbox but the anon does not.

Now from the dashboard if I hover over it I get approve, spam, trash but spam and trash only remove it for a few seconds and it returns.

Since this anon comment appeared I have been told by others that they get errors when trying to comment. I tried to post couple test comments while logged out but neither appeared for moderation.

In searching Google, this was reported a couple years back and was noted as a bug. Not sure how to get corrected. Any help appreciated greatly.

Can't delete comment via comments > edit > move to trash

I can’t delete a comment via Comments > Edit comment > Move to trash.

It shows in the comment history that’s it’s been moved to trash, however it still shows up in the comment list and on the post.

I can quick trash the comment from the main comments list page and it deletes as it should.

I’m running Akismet as well as WP Super Cache, and unfortunately can’t turn off either to test as the site is too high trafficked to run well with both off.

Running Weaver 2.2.6. How can I remove a single comment from a page once it is published on there? (And still leave the page up with comments possible at the bottom) I am a total rookie and know nothing about coding etc.

Have not been able to find this searching.

Hey guys. As of now, when I view comments on posts by going to the post directly, I see edit links on each comment so that I can easily edit it. However, I’d also like to have a delete link in case it’s a muck up or something. I was trying to figure out how to construct a delete link but I wasn’t able to because it needs some wpnonce parameter which I can’t come up with. For example this is the URL that’s on the edit comment page:

The only thing I can’t come up with is the wpnonce field. Or is there a function in wordpress that constructs the delete comment URL?
