Restrict certain days + latest WP maybe new issues with Calendar and scrolling

Hi there, I notice the other thread is closed now – but we were also hoping to know if there has been any possibility of an update on this. We want to restrict specific days so people do not choose them.

If there is a Pro version, we would be happy to pay for that version, but there doesn’t appear to be.

Also noting that WP is warning now that this plug-in hasn’t been tested with the latest 3 versions. I have noticed some odd behaviour now with the Calendar day and time selection. All of a sudden since the latest WP updates, in the Calendar Dropdown, if the user moves the scroll button, it doesn’t scroll forward/backward in chronological order, it jumps everywhere. Suddenly may be in March 2025 and if you touch the scroll wheel a little, it might jump to February 2023, and then August 2024, and then goes a bit random.

Abbreviated Calendar Days Not Translated Correctly

Good Day,

We have a website page with an embedded calendar that abbreviates calendar days as follows:

SUN MON TUE WED THU FRI SAT

Unfortunately, when we translate the above abbreviations to Spanish, for example, you plugin interprets those abbreviations as regular words yielding the following:

SOL LUN MAR CASARSE JUE VIE SE SENTó

Instead of:

DOM LUN MAR MIE JUE VIE SAB

How can we fix this?

Note: Spelling out the abbreviation in its entirety, say replacing “SUN” with “SUNDAY” is not an option for us due to page display limitations.

Looking to restrict the time selection for weekends/individual days, but keep a standard time selection for all other days. I already implemented the filter_gf_awp_calendar_allow_time hook, but want some further customization so people can’t try and make a selection for when the business isn’t open/taking appointments. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks!

There’s a mistake in (lib/breadcrumb-trail/inc/breadcrumbs.php) line 844. Brackets are misplaced, it causes the function esc_url( get_day_link()) not to work properly, and the pages with whole-date pagination will stuck in loading. (Eg. website-url/2024/02/17/page/3)

I am experiencing a weird problem with “My Calendar”

It does not show proper date by default when user enters my calendar page, outdated month is displayed.

When clicking “Today” it goes to 6.10.23, as of writing this post it’s already 6.11.23
When toggled to list view it also displays October, when it’s already November
When I access November manually the current day frame is on the proper day.

I tried experimenting with the shortcode, with various combinations, even trying to make it show different months, but it did not change anything.
These are shortcodes I tried:

I am currently using this shortcode to show delivery time on the website, but the issue is that it shows ‘Sunday’ too despite I have only added Mon-Sat in the shortcode. Please rectify and provide a working one, thanks!

Unresponsive calendar – intermittent issue

Hi there folks,

I’m having an intermittent issue with The Events Calendar whereby sometimes the buttons to change view between Month, Day and List simply don’t respond. When this happens, navigating between pages using the arrows or using the drop down calendar navigator also don’t work.

Sometimes page refreshes work, sometimes they don’t. I’ve cleared browser caches and sometimes the fault is still there.

I’ve disabled all other plugins, activated default theme Twenty Twenty and the issue still crops up from time to time.

Running:
WordPress 6.2.2
The Events Calendar 6.0.13.1
PHP 8.0.28

Tested with Chrome 113.0.5672.127, Firefox 13.0.5672.127 and Edge 113.0.1774.50. The issue is intermittent in all of them.

EDIT: Okay, so I’ve found that the difference appears to be that it works if it has the “www.” in the website but not without it.

So https://www.rakiuracalendar.com works great whereas https://rakiuracalendar.com doesn’t.
