Trialling a test purchase using a free PDF download on my site has resulted in;
1] The post-purchase confirmation page saying;
[ nofollow ]
Thank you for your purchase
“Sorry, trouble retrieving payment receipt”
2] The ‘Order’ page shows “Completed”, but no name, only a dash and selecting the ‘Edit’ function for the transaction shows no email associated with the process. It would appear that the Purchaser’s details – Name, Surname and email address are not being stored.
3] No email is sent.
I am using WP6.01 running on PHP7.4 and have tried several different browsers, all with caches cleared.
Other than routine updates there has been no structural change to this site for years and it has been pottering along without any issues.
Help! Any ideas will be most gratefully received!
]]>Now if I click on the “Progress” button to show outstanding tasks, it’s clear. There are no DB upgrade tasks in there (the have all run – no failures), but the databas upgrade message still displays.
Is there any way to get rid of the message?
Thanks,
Paul
]]>My weird issue is that whenever the WordPress Database Upgrade is running this specific option deleted. This doesn’t happen if the option have a different name.
Are there any conflicts with the name “language”?
]]>So, I backed up my database, then ran the data update. All seemed ok, but now I notice on one of my categories, which should have 170+ products listed, there are only 38 showing now.
Not just on front end, but also in the dashboard, it shows that there are only 38 products in that category.
So I restored the db backup, but its still the same. I checked the db tables and in wp_posts I can see the entries for all the missing products are there, altho their valies in post_status column have a value of “inherit”, whereas those that I can see on the site have a value of “publish”. Also in post_parent column, those that are missing have a value of 140, where as those that I can see on the site have a value of 0.
However, changing any of these values does nothing. I don’t want to just re-list the missing products, because I can see that they are already in the db, just for some reason they are not being fetched.
I checked on a Woo Help facebook group and it seems that others are having the same experience. Any idea what is causing this?
]]>Database upgrade required
Thanks for updating to Advanced Custom Fields PRO v5.7.7!
This version contains improvements to your database and requires an upgrade.
Is there an explanation for this? And how do I get rid of this message? I don’t see an option to ignore it.
]]>I have no idea what to provide given, no meaningful error message appeared.
]]>So we recently launched a new site for a client with 2,600 products and variations available for sale on an ecommerce site. ALthough the site speedis fine I am noticing that the backend (woocommerce) takes forever to load up. Is this signs that we need to update server or databases? Right now we are using WP engine.
Any advice would be great.
