So does anyone know how to import CN posts to WP, without losing comments?

I have tried to import XML files with different numbers of articles, and it always only imports the last item (no matter what that item is). I have also tried comparing my XML file with the one WordPress exports, but I can’t find any difference.

I am importing via Import > WordPress. I also tried Import > RSS, and that worked except that the categories didn’t import. (Instead, a new blank category was created for every article imported. So, five articles imported, five new blank categories.)

I basically just want my blog to show on the main page, and have a list of the categories and recent posts down the side, like that.

However, I don’t just want the WP content to displayed, I want to integrate it with the rest of my site…like I’ve done with Cutenews;

Are there any simple codes that can be put in that I can find anywhere? I’ve looked and can’t find any.

Anyways, I’ve always been using cutenews before. And now, cutenews is getting spammed so I decided to try wordpress instead. I dont get a thing though WordPress, seems to look like a complete site, and i only want the entries i post to appear on my site, like these sites have:

Like in the first sample, you see all entries, and it doesnt mess up the site layout. IT seems like the entries just appear, but nothing else.

I am so lost and I know I cant explain what I want, but I hope someone can understand me.

I simply want it like cutenews, just the entries to appear incorporated into the original site layout . How can I achieve this?

EDIT: I Also read the faqs but I have no idea if my question is answered, since weird expressions and words are used I dont udnerstand, like “feed” and “rss” for example.

This does not work, it will not forward the url. If I take the question mark out of the original cutenews url it forwards fine. I tried escaping the question mark in the rule, and I tried putting it in like a normal character but it will not work. Is there something special about a question mark so that it won’t forward?

Now if I can’t get any of this to work, I might have to change the page and post ids of wordpress to match the ids of cutenews. Is there any reason I can’t do this or anything I should look out for? How should I do the Rewrite rule if I do that?
