Best regards
Anen
I set up the WP Store Locator and I’m trying to get the custom markers to work. I’ve been trying to follow along the instructions but I am unsure where I need to put the new marker and how to really set this up (I am a noobie if you can’t already tell because this should be a basic edit).
I created the custom marker folder and named it “wpsl-markers” (in my theme folder??). From there I believe I am supposed to put all the code in the functions.php file of my WP theme. Does it matter where I put the code in that file?
When I ran everything, all the default markers disappear and only my custom ones are populated which is fine but when selected and saved in the settings a preview of the map does not populate any of the markers on the map.
Here’s the link to the tutorial I used:
Any help would be appreciated!

]]>I just read all the documentation relative to using custom markers on the map.
The problem is this workaround of yours works with an external plugin + couple functions in the backend, enabling category images via plugin and THEN replacing the marker for the category image it pertains to.
I was wondering if there’s a cleaner, simpler way to do this.
Many map-oriented templates just print the category the marker pertains to as a html attribute, therefore it gets output on the structure of the page itself and then later you can style the marker the way we want just with a few CSS lines.
We are wondering if there’s a similar approach to this or if it has been done, and if so, the pertinent documentation so we can build it the same way.
Thank you,
]]>I′m wondering if there is any way to do the following:
1) For the stores that have a URL, how can we make it so that when people click the store/link it opens a new tab? Now it opens in the same window, not good.
2) Is there any way to have custom markers for certain stores? We have some stores that are more prominent/important than others, and we want to highlight these with custom markers.
3) Is there a way to sort the stores manually? What defines the sorting today? Is it random?
]]>First of all, thank you for the great plugin. It’s really easy to use and might be just what I needed.
However, I am trying to upload custom markers, but the upload button doesn’t show in the CMS. This happens on the following pages: “Custom Markers” and “Upload Marker Pack”.
I tried using different browsers, but it looks the same in Chrome (v43), Firefox (v38.0.5) and Internet Explorer (v10). See screenshot.
Is there any way to resolve this? If you need any additional information, please let me know.
Thanks in advance!
Denny
