I have a problem with custom flags. I have uploaded flags for two languages in my WordPress media. In Advanced Settings, I edited the current language flags by adding Language code and a new Flag URL. These custom flags are shown on desktops, but the original ones stay on tablets and mobiles. I would appreciate it if you could help me with this as I cannot find where the problem is. ]]>
First of all, I would like to thank the developers of this plugin. It mostly works great and it has made my life a lot easier.
I’m having issues with the custom flags though. I put the flags in a subfolder of “WordPress/wp-content/” and it seems to find the flags without any issues but as soon as I change something else in my WordPress, the custom flags disappear and I have to reload them by going to settings and saving the URL modifications. Is this a known issue or did I do something wrong?
As you have noticed I’m new to coding and thus don’t know what info you need to solve this issue. Let me know
]]>I’ve just updated my WP core + PLL, and since that, my custom flags of the language switcher stopped showing up, no matter where I re-upload them (wp-content/polylang or theme’s polylang folder), and how many times I do what’s written here under 4.2. Help please!
Btw, Polylang is the absolute only Plugin I use, so there’s no way that this has anything to do with any other plugin..
]]>The change worked at first. Unfortunately, when we switched back and forth from “Flags with language name” to “Language names”, the plugin’s built-in flags were restored. The custom flags are not being saved.
Please advise how can we prevent this from happening?
Better yet, please update your plugin to provide two (2) more sets of flags (flag styles): Flat Pattern Flags (Color) and Flat-Pattern Flags (Dark Gray and White).
I believe this last request was submitted to the plugin developer over 2 years ago but nothing has happened. It’s time to invigorate the plugin and provide options that match better current website designs.

and i didnt sucsses in my case.
Problem i have is:
i wanted to add few more flags right next to Serbian flag (to add Croatian and Bosnian) because languages are 99% same (as english US and GB)
I cretated custom flag image to look like this:

Image is uploaded in custom created folder in main polylang folder:

On simmilar topic i seen instruction to open:
Settings > Languages > Settings tab > URL modifications module and I clicked on “Save changes”
Ok. but i can just open and click save, i dont see that i can do or change anything here related to flags.

Folowing instructions last thing what i have to do is insert custom code in CSS theme settings so i edited code to fit for image location as on my website host :

]]>I’ve copied the expected flags in every possible naming scheme:
$ ls wp-content/polylang/
en.png en_US.png us.png
Then went to the setting tab (/wp-admin/admin.php?page=mlang_settings), opened “URL modifications” and clicked “Save Changes”
Still, the flags did not change on the frontend. What do I miss?
