Can I download my custom CSS via FTP?

Sorry I feel this is a really obvious question but I cannot find the answer. I’ve been adding some custom css via the ‘edit CSS’ option under appearance.

I want to download this .css file via FTP, edit it in Brackets and re-upload it. I cannot find it in my theme’s css files. Where would this file be saved?

The reason I want to do this is the Dashboard version seems to be stripping out content beyond 390 lines.

I’ve tried everything. Changed the permissions in index.php both in my theme, the theme’s directory and wp-content and nothing happens. It’s still not accepting my changes. What can I do?

CSS Classes for Jetpack elements in 'CSS Stylesheet Editor' not working.

I’ve installed Jetpack & would like to make the following changes to Jetpack related elements i.e. Carousel Gallery & contact form.

However with the CSS classes added to ‘CSS Stylesheet Editor’ in Appearance they don’t have an effect.

Interestingly CSS Classes added to CSS Stylesheet Editor in Appearance for non Jetpack related elements do work.

Changes I’d like to make:
a)
Change the color of the background behind the Carousel slide show from black to gray.

b)
Change the color of the borders round the Carousel gallery thumbnails

c)
Change the color of the text that reads ‘(required)’ that s sits after the names of the Contact form input fields?

Any help much appreciated.

Jetpack ate my custom css

When switching between themes (20-14 -> 20-11) Jetpack ate my custom css.

It wasn’t even in “css revisions”. I had to go and find it in my browser cache. Quite annoying!

CSS Stylesheet Editor

I have the CSS Stylesheet Editor under my “Appearance” tab on my Dashboard, but I am not able to click inside the box and edit the text. I was able to do this momentarily, but now the box has frozen up and I cannot even select text in it. I am using IE 10 on Windows 7.

Has anyone had this issue and been able to resolve it? This is a relatively fresh install – the only thing I did was to install the “Responsive” theme and associated widgets, and the Jetpack.

CSS revision gives notice with debug true on

I turned on the debug true when I was checking my child theme R2D2 before submitting an update it to the WordPress directory.

I saw this notice in the CSS Stylesheet Editor so I though I would pass it along:

I did take out the name of my server though

How activate "CSS Stylesheet Editor" under Genesis/AgentPress theme?

In the Genesis/StudioPress/AgentPress theme, I somehow previously activated a “CSS Stylesheet Editor” as an option under “Appearance” on one site, but forgot how I did it. Now I want this on a new AgentPress site and cannot remember how to get it. Any ideas, please?

the CSS Stylesheet Editor I’ve been using in Word press for my custom CSS will not scroll down the page so that I can continue to add to it. I have about 30 lines used and it won’t let me scroll to even view the last entry. It just pops back up to the top. I cleared my caches and refreshed page but it won’t let me work.

Any suggestions?
