Themes not showing correctly on newly transferred blog

I recently transferred my domain name (and blog) to another server/hosting site. The original theme was not showing correctly, and I thought it was a problem with the theme, so I decided to buy themes. However, after uploading the themes, I realize they were not showing correctly either. I went on a few forums (just read them) and apparently it has something to do with the style sheet. Found out about W3C Validation and validated 2 out of three themes, and the results were errors and warnings. I have no idea how to fix them and no idea what to do. Can anybody help me?

Child Theme Troubleshoot

Using WP 4.0. Using the Moviescope theme (version 1.4) created by mad_velikorodnov and sold by EnvatoStudio/Themeforest

So for some reason, I can’t get a childtheme uploaded to my WP site: www.62tigers.com

1) I’ve tried creating it with my text editor, turning it into a ZIP, and uploading directly to my WordPress Dashboard. 2) I’ve tried using an FTP client and uploading it directly to the Godaddy Hosting server. 3) I’ve tried creating the Child Theme directly on the Godaddy Server. 4) Each of these times, I was careful to make sure there weren’t any unnecessary subfolders. Here’s what I’ve got

moviescope-child (Folder)–>style.css (file)

Here’s what it say’s on the Child CSS:

@import url(“../moviescope/style.css”);

I’d usually write more of a descitption, but I’ve skipped to the basics just to see if I can get it working.

Any suggestions? I’m so annoyed for getting the same “The following themes are installed but incomplete. Themes must have a stylesheet and a template.” on the WordPress Dashboard.

[NSFW] Visited link colour will not change no matter what I do

I have read several of the explanations for how to do this.
I am on the 2012 theme.
Visited links are a grotty grey as standard and links are a murky blue. I have used the following code and it changes the link colour to a bright blue as I wished and the hover colour to magenta, but no matter what I do the visited colour stays the grotty grey and there is no hover colour over visited links. I have tried all sorts of solutions from the forum and it still won’t change.

Blue dashed Lines on my webpage

I have a caveat. Web design is not my forte.

I was inserting some revisions to two of the textarea portions on my theme’s (Coraline) style sheet (style.css), and after I made the changes I discovered some blue dotted lines on a number of pages on my website.

They weren’t there before, and when I removed the changes & updated the site the blue dotted lines were still there. I’ve uninstalled and reinstalled the theme, but they are still there.

How can I make them go away? Thanks in advance.
