Hey WP

What is the best way to create my own templates for TT3. Using this plugin or is there a simpler way on the live site. Scope is:

Create a template I can theme in say 3 variations or more:

Dark
Light
Modern

Theme shall ONLY apply to part of the site, so it’s not actually a theme, but rather a sub theme. It shall be selectable by an editor of that part of the site, so that she/he can create a unique style to this part. Fx Library, Disco, Skate Rink etc.

I’m quite happy with TT3, so no change there thx…

I want to create a silo on my site but I can’t choose a Parent page for post typ

I want to create a silo on my WordPress site so I create a post and then I should be able to (under Page Attributes, at the right side of that post) assign that post to a parent page. But there isn’t such an option when I choose as post type Post. Why not? But with a Page as post type I can. But you can’t assign Pages to categories so you have to use Post as post type to be able to create a silo. Is that correct? Then how to go about it?
How can I create a post and assign as its parent page the top silo page (which is the category page) that post falls under?

Does WordPress offer any benefits or possibilities to creating a silo?
Is it possible to have a WP template created (will that then come under Page Attributes?) which then can be added to the built-in templates of a WP theme that is custom designed and built so it has a standard link back to the silo’s top page and a link to the next page in the silo?

I am currently trying to create a blog for my website. Since i currently have a content based website, i am using dreamweaver to edit it so i already a template i use throughout my website. I have been trying to convert my blank template to a wordpress theme for some time now. I have split it into the 4 sections and put all the necessary code in for wordpress, but i still get the error “The package could not be installed. The style.css stylesheet doesn’t contain a valid theme header.” Someone please help. To see my current blank theme look here.

How to create a template (or modify of twelveeleven) for a page, where the blog’s author’s name and avatar, blog’s title and part of abstract of the latest blog in a category would be shown in meta boxes. Each meta box would be related to particular category and automatically retrieve the mentioned info. How to place 8 meta boxes in 2 columns (4 + 4) on the page?.

create template to send selected posts to specific page

using wordpress theme as cms and want to create a template, can be based on an existing one, that will allow me to send posts (and a list of archives) for a specific category to a designated page on the site. I would prefer to have the list of archives on the sidebar, which I believe, will require a custom sidebar on this template. our site is www.aofta.org
