I have a simple site that’s been around for over 15 years and was listed on Bing for that whole time.
I installed the The SEO Network plugin a ways back and I noticed recently that my site was dropped from Bing (which also means Yahoo and DuckDuckGo). I’m not sure exactly when it was dumped because I don’t check my Bing rankings often. When I went and looked at my logs it seemed they may have dumped me not too long after I installed this plugin. Is there any known issues with Bing having an issue with SEO plugins? I’ve contacted them several times and they won’t give me a specific reason as to why my site was dropped. My site does well on other search engines. Any suggestions would be great.

My wordpress version is : 6.0.3
Google crawl bots are being blocked by a default rule on my wordpress site.
I did reverse dns lookup and forward dns lookup and i saw the ip and hostname below belongs to google:
IP: 66.249.74.38 Hostname: crawl-66-249-74-38.googlebot.com
Page visited : /?constructor=dbdfe4
But even if i did not do any restrictions against ‘verified google bots’ that got blocked by rule below:
blocked by firewall for WordPress Core < 5.9.2 & Gutenberg < 12.7.2 – Prototype Pollution in query string: constructor=dbdfe4
Why and will it affect on anything?
]]>The Yoast Crawl optimization options and most specifically the Internal site search cleanup options go some way to helping the issue. However, if possible we would like to go further.
Our primary goal at the moment relates to Yoast’s automatic redirection of filtered/blocked searchs to 301 redirect to our homepage. We wondered if it might be possible to specifiy the redirect page in these instances? We ask because one option may be to redirect to “blackhole” page and then potentially block their IP based on visiting that “blackhole” page; something easily achieved using Wordfence.
This would vastly reduce the number of spam requests hitting the server. Right now, allowing these requests to respond with any page, be it the search results page, our homepage or 404 page:
1) Uses valuable server resources (300k+ requests)
2) May potentially skew Google Analytics (300k + visits to our homepage)
3) Continue to use Google Crawl budget. Despite not being indexed, our understanding is they still have considerable impact on Google Crawl Budget. We’d like to try prevent/reduce this impact if possible.
N.B. as a side note it would be nice to have a some transparency around the “common spam patterns” setting in Yoast to better understand what that filter might be doing? ]]>
I need the store pages, product pages etc (everything related to the store), to be :
- not indexed
- not crawled by google
The problem today is :
- they are indexed (if you do the command site:lescoconsdenath.fr you’ll see that 80% of indexed pages are store or product pages)
- they are continuously crawled by Google (I can see this in the search console)
- there are also a large number of pages (20% of crawls) that are in 404 (I should point out that I don’t have any control over them, all these pages are created automatically by WP easycart when I create a category or a product)
I’ve already contacted wp easycart support, who told me how to use all in one seo to request that the pages not be indexed, which I did (screenshot below). I’ve also removed the stores pages from the site map.
Despite this manipulation, Google continues to crawl my pages, to index them and to come across 404s…
Can you please help me? I’m in over my head, and every day that goes by with these indicators of poor site health means I’m taking a very big risk….

Recently we noticed some downtime on our website due to a crawl from Cookiebot triggering a large amount of requests to trp-ajax.php. I’ve also attempted the admin-ajax fallback, but this still results in a very large amount of POST requests.
The ‘Block crawlers’ option is enabled, but unfortunately it seems to miss the Cookiebot.

I would appreciate it if this could be added to the crawler block list, as it’s a bit of a messy solution to manually patch it in.

Same results are also shown in search console categorising them as 404 errors. ?I had not enabled attachment sitemap. Everthing is hidden but still google is crawling image attachment urls and showing them in search console

is there anyway i can do it easier than the traditional import? or that is the only way? like some automated plugin/portal in which you upload a product name and it will crawl and get you what u need in terms of images and product description? ( sorry i might be using alot of imagination) but its one hell of a task.
i ask this question because i am wondering how the rest of the online shop owner manage with this hectic task of finding images for thousands of products that are communicted with them.
