I’m experiencing problems with reinstalling WooCommerce on my WordPress website.

When trying to re?nstall, the Country list is not showing. The error message showing is:

Oops! We encountered a problem while fetching the list of countries to choose from.?Please try again?or?skip this step

It also cannot fetch the list of coutries when I skip the setup and it just stuck at without going further

How to fix that?

This is likely because the Country drop-down list is empty, there are no countries listed.
Because I can not select any country, the country field remains empty, so the form does not allow further by pressing the Continue button.

It is a new WordPress v6.1.1 installation, with WooCommerce v7.3.0.
Currently I selected Mega Store Woocommerce v1.3 theme, but also tried others, but all results the same missing country list problem.

I also tried to reinstall WordPress and WooCommerce, but I faced the same problem with missing country list.

Any idea, what is the problem?

The list of countries should be hidden, but somehow on our page full list is shown (over 200 countries) and none of them cannot be selected? I can’t figure out what could be the problem?

from a previous post I know how to delete and add countries from/to the country list by adding code to the child function.php.

Now I did that again and I noticed that one of my earlier entries – Russia – is still displayed at the bottom of the list while the other – Serbia – is sorted correctly.
Why this?

And: if I add a country, can I choose a free 3-character code for the country (i.e. Palestine)?

If would be great to edit to see and edit the country list easier within the plugin features.

To replicate the issue, just add any product to a cart, then hit checkout and you will see this problem. The Theme is fully updated, and wordpress is updated.

How can i just have the checkout page show just a small scrollable list of countries?

I found some aspects that could be improved, but the basic feature is very good for now.

I hope the author continue to develop this plugin, because I am sure that many people need this plugin’s help. If for now not many CF7 user install it, it just because they are has not found this plugin yet.

Is there any way to easily load a Country List into ER Forms to provide a “Country dropdown” for user registrations?

Or any chance you can make the Plugin from “GeoDataSource Country Region DropDown” with the sortcode working?

It’s otherwise quite an effort to add every single country…

Is it possible to change a country name in the country dropdown. I would like to change Taiwan, province of China into: Taiwan

I tried to modify it in the builtin.php file but nothing happens.
Could you please help me to manage that?
