corrupt site, trying to restore, have backup database

I have had some problems with this site while being away from the US for the past 4 years. I have an recent exported database from last week, when it was still working. I can’t get a quick import to work. Isn’t there another way to do this? I am most interested in the comments, but know they are based on the posts.

File Upload – Corrupted files?

Hi, I have a problem with this plugin.
I am trying to add a file upload (both the regular one, but also the photo upload one).
Both of them seem to work, but afterwards, when I receive an e-mail with a link to the uploaded file, the file is corrupted. I’ve tried from multiple devices, and different files. All of them are corrupted when I download them afterwards.

Anyone experiencing this? And if so, did you solve it… and… if so, how??

Files corrupt on download

Hi, I’ve uploaded files for download and all seems to be fine until they are downloaded. They don’t download in full and end up corrupted. I’ve checked the files size in the library and it’s as it was but when it downloads it doesn’t download the full file. I thought it might be a oversize file issue but the same happens with smaller files as well. Have also tried changing the settings but to no avail.

PDF corruption

I have an interesting problem. I upload a perfectly fine PDF, but when I try to download it again, it comes out corrupted. I can’t even open it in Illustrator or any other PDF-program.

This is in WordPress 4.5.4… have been hesitant to update since this plugin doesn’t seem to be supported any more.

Anyone else encountered this problem?

Hello. I’m trying to create a backup for my website with this plugin.

WP version: 4.2.5 (i know, old)
Plugin version: 3.2.1

I’m trying to make a full backup and everything goes fine with no errors, but when I download the file, sometimes it just stops mid-download for no reason, but after 2-3 attempts at downloading it, I finally manage to fully download the backup file, but when i try to open the archive Winrar says its corrupted.

Can I get some help please?

white screen of death

I got the white screen of death and cannot figure out what it is coming from. I am still very new to wp so trying to troubleshoot has been quite difficult. I have renamed my plugin file to plugin.deactivate and moved my theme around, and I believe my issue is in the functions.php file but when I try and upload a new one, the website does not work again.

I am hosted on bluehost and my website is agorgeousdiscord.com

Any help would be appreciated!!!

Blog Posts Deleting Upon Hitting Publish Button

I type up a post .. text, pictures, recipe card plugin .. hit publish.. the entire post deletes itself besides the first paragraph when published.

Checked with support desk for my 3rd party theme, she ran tests and said it’s not a theme issue.
I thought maybe the recipe card plugin .. tried 4 different recipe cards, all worked on old posts but cannot post a new post. Deleted first 3 recipe plugins, kept the last one as it’s the most simple.

Did a plug in check .. deactivated all plug ins besides the 1 recipe card … tried to publish a blog post with recipe card, it deleted itself.

Then I deactivated the recipe plug in, along with ALL others, so no plugins were active.. published a blog post with text ONLY .. no photos, no plugins no recipe card .. just text.. and it DELETED itself again upon hitting publish.

The frustrating part is my help desk girl could log into my dashboard from her computer in another state, and create a blog post with a recipe card just fine. Also edit it and add to it and republish it and all work showed up. Nothing deleted itself on her end.

SO, I don’t think it’s a theme issue, I don’t think it’s a plugin conflict, I don’t think it’s wordpress (?) … is it something on my computer? I have an iMac that is about a year and a half old. I have no idea what to look for, what to test run or etc.. what to tinker with on WP or my site to see where the problem lies. Any real good techy people out there who know this stuff like the back of their hand? I haven’t been able to publish a blog post in over a week, or update my site. Beyond frustrated!

File in my Database is Triggering Mod Security

I am a relatively new WordPress user. Last weekend I began having issues because my site wouldn’t load. When I would try to go to the URL or to my admin page, it wouldn’t load and would just time out.

Over much discussion with my web host, the conclusion is that there is some file that is triggering mod security. I can access my files, but that’s about it.

I do not really know where to even start in looking for the problem. I am assuming a plugin or theme that was recently installed?

Where do I need to begin to look? Is there an easy answer that I’m missing?
HELP!

jpegs broken from upload

Hi,
Every time I upload a jpeg into a gallery in nextgen the images break and only as a blue box with a [ ? ] inside. This occurs whether you upload into a new gallery or into an existing gallery that has worked fine for years. I also get this error if you upload the photos direct to the server and then “scan for photos” when you log in through wordpress. I also get this error when uploading photos that have previously been uploaded and work fine (so its not a file type issue).
I had hoped that this might of been fixed with the past few updates to the plugin but alas…. looking forward to your response!
