Comment shows up in edit post window, not on updated post.

? I tried disabling plugins
? Comments approved in edit window.

? Comments menu on dashboard has the following message:
”Akismet has detected a problem. Some comments have not yet been checked for spam by Akismet. They have been temporarily held for moderation and will automatically be rechecked later.
Please check your Akismet configuration and contact your web host if problems persist.
?Akismet will not accept my WordPress password when I try to get a key from them to activate it. I tried deleting the plugin altogether, but comments still don’t show up.

I just updated to the newest version of WP trying to correct this info to no avail.

Note: My blog is installed on my website via Dreamhost one click installs.

Basically, I will get an email notification of a new comment posted on my blog.

When I open the email EVERYTHING is blank except for the WhoIs link (which takes me to a 405 error page.)

At first I thought this was just spam and ignored it.
Now I’ve come to find that NO comments are going through.

I was using Askimet and diabled it and just now deleted it, hoping to fix the error.

Initially it worked with disabling Askimet, then I installed a new spam filter and it caught the 4 test comment posts, but I couldn’t get to them to un-spam them. Deleted that fiter. Installed and nothing went through that one at all that I could see. Deleted that one and…. Nothing. I have NO comments at ALL.

Help!!!!

I have my site visible externally ie people can see my posts but when they click reply or the comment icon it says page not available. I am on wordpress for synology diskstation ds411+.

I think my settings are ok in wordpress but not sure what to do now. help would be appreciated as i am almost there now i think.

Users Cant Post comments

Hello, I have run into this problem before and its really annoying because i cant figure it out. So basically registered users can post comments on pages, I made a fake account to test this and when a users presses on reply or post a comment they can write the comment but when they click post a comment there is no response. Like you can click it as many times as you want and nothing will happen.

Hi All,

After upgrading to 3.4.1 last week, I am not able to get the comments on pages to work. They do work fine on blog posts though.

I have trawled through about 50 posts on google for this subject but nothing helped. I’m at the end of researching and I definitely need some help here.

Page in question is here: https://rudychristoph.com/customer-testimonials. I have set on the page the comments to be on together with track-back and ping-back but they just don’t show.
I added through the WP-Admin console a comment and that doesn’t show either.

I don’t know whether or not any of you can give some advice in relation to this?

I am having trouble finding the root of why comments are not being displayed, This happened shortly after upgrading to 3.0.1.

This is what shows up on the page or post after a comment is made:

Can't Post Comments After Permalink Change

Hi folks,

I changed the permalinks setting on my site and I can no longer post comments. When I click on the link it takes me to the following page: “about#respond.” I don’t know how to regain access to posting comments on the blog page. Any ideas?

Every time I go to post a comment, it never works. The comment part is gone. Nothing is there.

Comments do not work after successful install

After successfully installing WP 2.71 on the server, commenting produces the following error message:

Not Found
The requested URL /blog/2009/03/23/bot-colony-rollout/ was not found on this server.
Apache/2.2.3 (Red Hat) Server at www.botcolony.com Port 80

Nothing but Search works.
Please help!

I’ve had a couple different wordpress blogs, and a couple days ago I went to start another website and my comments just don’t show up but instead it loaded my homepage in the iframe.

I did delete the classic theme and am just using the default theme. I also did change the index.php in the default theme, but the comments didn’t work when nothing was changed either.

Can someone please help me?
