when using the WordPress ios reader app, my posts show a ‘comments closed’ even if I allowed comments in general.
On the web comments are open but on the ios app I get the ‘comments are closed’.
When scrolling through the WordPress Mobile-App Reader, coming to my article, the comment icon is greyed out.
Clicking on the article opens the article page and when scrolling down I read “comments closed”.
It is with all my articles, whereas I see many other articles where I can click on ‘comment’ directly in the Reader List.
When clicking on my Website name in the reader list, all my articles are displayed, and there I can write comments.

What can I do to allow comments also in the reader’s article list?
]]>However, my comments appear closed approx 50% of the time. I never touch my settings so I don’t understand the inconsistency. This might be user-based or time-based because last night some users told me my comments were open while some others told me it was closed. This morning, a user that experienced my closed comments last night was able to leave comments this morning when they appeared open. But I didn’t change anything.
Would love some help to resolve this please. I simply want my comments to appear open all the time, per my Discussion settings.
]]>how do I hide the comments form on a post page which the comments are closed?
For instance the page cited below has the comments closed, however the form are shown and the user only finds out that he can not comment once he tries it.
That post has the id igual to 176: how to add a filter or maybe a PHP condition to hide the entire form on that page?
Thanks,
-Sidnei
]]>I was wondering if there is an option to remove “Comments are closed” from the homepage?
Thank you in advance,
Ivan
I’ve looked in the settings but found nothing.
Thanks!

]]>New documents they’re adding to the site always say “comments closed” and I can’t figure out why. E.g.,
https://resources.conservation-us.org/comment/comment-on-aic-faic-projects/digital-competencies-for-conservation-professionals/
On this forum I saw that you have to go to Screen Options and turn comments on. I did that. I also don’t see anything in the commentpress settings that seem like they should be causing this, but I may not know what I’m doing.
Any suggestions for something to try next?
Thanks!
Matt
How can I add custom text when the period of commenting is over?
And if that is possible, can I add shortcodes as custom text there? (I’ ve enabled shortcodes in the comments already).
I would like to add a poll after the closing of the comments and the only way I think I can do this is by adding this custom message…
Thanks in advance
