I have had the same issues as this user here: Comments not showing on Posts
I have tried the same steps as this user because I have the both Ocean and Elementor. These are the steps:
+ Enabling comments from Settings > Discussion.
+ “Allow people to post comments on new articles” is checked
+ Comment must be manually approved is UNchecked
+ Automatically close comments on articles older than X days is UNchecked
+ Making sure the “Allow Comments” in the meta box for every post is checked.
+ Temporarily disabling all plug-ins to check if there’s conflict with the comments sections
+ Tried using another theme.
All seems set up correctly, and comments are showing on my Pages, however they are not showing up on my Posts. Discussions are set up correctly as instructed by these Mods (and additional research) for both future posts and current posts, and yet the problem persists.
When I go to the follow up to try and get more info, the trail goes cold: Continuation of topic
All help would be greatly appreciated. I am self-taught and am out of ideas. I have reached out to the Elementor team already, however they have not really helped much.
THANK YOU again for the help. My site is a work in progress and I’m currently furloughed so I finally have time to dedicate to building out content for it, after working on teaching myself to build it out for 2 years. I really appreciate all help.
]]>After a very long search I finally found a theme that I really liked and so settled with Rowling, but the theme has several issues when using it in a fresh WordPress installation.
Its installed on a new WordPress installation without any theme customisation, plugins or other things that may interfere, I am facing several issues.
When clicking on a page from the menu bar, WordPress will start an infinite load, nothing happens, and when it finally shows the page (after several clicks) the header has a white line on top, shows only the blog title and nothing more.
When I click a post, sometimes only the post title will show, and the comments section does not work properly. I can’t click “Reply” on any comment, nothing happens, and sometimes written comments will not show entirely.
The theme is downloaded with the latest version directly from www.remarpro.com, and I am using the latest version of WordPress as well. I even tried to download an older version of the theme to no avail.
After several reinstalls of WordPress and several downloads of the theme (if something was corrupted in the first download) nothing helps.
What is wrong? What can be done to make it work correctly?
Edit: Just to clarify, other themes work perfectly, and there is no specific layout assigned to any of the pages. This is a fresh install.
]]>Site one
Site two (CURRENTLY TESTING, check one of the others please.)
Site three (Brand new WP install, nothing configured, but still the same problems as the older ones.)
This problem occurs in both fully configured and fresh installs as soon as both AIOWPS and Jetpack are activated. It goes away when I use ‘Disable all firewall rules’ in AIOWPS; still narrowing down which rule. It does NOT go away when I strip out all rules from the .htaccess file in my shared root directory.
Of note, spammers still seem able to leave comments on the blogs (all caught by my filters), but registered users cannot, logged in or otherwise. We’ve tried this from both Macs and PCs, and in different browsers.

]]>Note: My blog is installed on my website via Dreamhost one click installs.
Basically, I will get an email notification of a new comment posted on my blog.
When I open the email EVERYTHING is blank except for the WhoIs link (which takes me to a 405 error page.)
At first I thought this was just spam and ignored it.
Now I’ve come to find that NO comments are going through.
I was using Askimet and diabled it and just now deleted it, hoping to fix the error.
Initially it worked with disabling Askimet, then I installed a new spam filter and it caught the 4 test comment posts, but I couldn’t get to them to un-spam them. Deleted that fiter. Installed and nothing went through that one at all that I could see. Deleted that one and…. Nothing. I have NO comments at ALL.
Help!!!!

]]>You 404’d it. Gnarly, dude.
Surfin’ ain’t easy, and right now, you’re lost at sea. But don’t worry; simply pick an option from the list below, and you’ll be back out riding the waves of the Internet in no time.
Hit the “back” button on your browser. It’s perfect for situations like this!
Head on over to the home page.
Punt.

]]>I’m hoping you can help me with a problem I seem to be having. The comments section on our website seems to be outputting any comment as plain html. This causes issues as there are no line breaks or anything. Not only that but it’s also potentially a problem because of the freedom it gives anyone posting a comment.
I’ve tried using the functions below to try and solve the issue but to no avail. If anyone could help fix the issue, that would be fantastic.
The following code was placed in the functions.php file, but didn’t help
add_filter(‘comment_text’, ‘wp_filter_nohtml_kses’);
add_filter(‘comment_text_rss’, ‘wp_filter_nohtml_kses’);
add_filter(‘comment_excerpt’, ‘wp_filter_nohtml_kses’);
An example of the comments section can be found at: https://www.lthan3.com/?p=315
All I’m looking for is a simple fix to make comments be output in plain text, so if I type
Line 1
Line 2
Line 3
In a comment, it comes out as such, rather than Line 1 Line 2 Line 3.
Thanks for any help provided <3
]]>Some time ago i moved the wordpress blog from the servers root to /blog. The process of doing this busted quite some things, most of which were css related which i managed to fix myself and the wordpress extension “Velvet Blues Update URLs” fixed all the broken urls.
The only thing that is still broken are the comments. While people can add them and they do display in the control panel they display as “at” hyperlinked to the page it is on.
This is the first time i’ve actually used wordpress and i am still absolutely terrible with php and don’t even get me started about databases… so any help would be much appreciated.
]]>Some time again after April 2011, the comments on my website stopped working.
There are 2 comments on my site, however you can’t view them or post new comments. Website is www.thexero.co.uk
Theme hasn’t changed.
I disabled and deleted all of the plugins I had active on the site, still broke.
Comments are enabled globally.
Comments are enabled on individual posts.
I have run an analyze, repair, optimize on all database tables, yet comments are still not working.
Any ideas?
Thanks
::Edit::
After playing with it all day, I uploaded an image, which comments are working on fine :S
