Several unnecessary assets are loaded on each and every page in WordPress admin area for all user roles down to subscriber level.

There are e.g. JavaScript files backwpup-admin.js (50kb), backup-downloader.js (9kb) which are additionally loaded unminified even though minified versions of those files would exist in archive. There is also font file backwup.ttf and other JavaScript files functions.min.js and states.min.js (and maybe more, we stopped checking as we will stay at 4.1.7 for the time being).

Hi, please let us toggle admin bar options.

It automatically adds everything to the admin bar with no way to hide them, which just clutters the admin bar with things I won’t use.

6.2: Search results loaded with clutter and I can’t find a way to remove it

Hello. Is this a new wrinkle with 6.2, because I’ve never seen it happen on my other blogs, certainly not to this degree. I am desperate to REMOVE attachments from search results; I tried a supposed way to do that, so instead, search results produced the media from the attachments! I’ve got tons of search results that look like duplicate post titles, up to 8-10 times the same thing, but there’s only ONE post, or ONE page, and all the other junk is individual attachments or images from those attachments.

What the heck is going on? How can I get RID of all the junk-search results? I just want to show POSTS AND PAGES in search results. There doesn’t seem to be a plugin to suppress images from search results.

How to hide all the admin stuff at top of page

When I go into my Products area, 3/4 of the page is covered with a “connecting my store” block and the “admin: historical analytics data.” I’m not using either one and it forces me to scroll down every time I want to access a product. They take up way too much space.
Is there any way to get rid of them?

Clean temp files with CRON / max. disc space reached

The caching folder contains so many files on my large websites, my hosting company contacted me: “The number of files (inodes) are to reaching the maximum and you need to delete some.”

Would it be possible to develop a cron feature where you can have a script clean out the cache folders once a week? Either in the Free or Pro version?

Messes up the Custom Fields

I use about 10 custom field to add information to thousands of pages. This plugins (for some reason) also uses the custom fields to store information. I added hundreds of alert boxes to my website and for EVERY single box there is a NEW CUSTOM FIELD added, resulting in hundreds and hundreds of custom field labels on every single page in my wp-admin screen. Can’t even properly find my own labels in there and had to rename all my labels with an exclamation markt in front to keep them on top of the list.

Why the hell is this plugin creating new labels for every single box? Just use ONE label and then store information about that label as a value ONLY on the page used.

Is there a way to delete submissions?

Thank you for sharing your work.

I’m wondering if there’s a way to delete submissions, maybe with a timeframe.

For two reasons: past/old submissions aren’t useful and may be cluttering the DB for nothing; also, a large list of user info may be a security risk.

Suggestion: No custom roles, provide a filter for capability with manage_options as default, all set & done.
