Original post below is resolved!

We were forced to replace Memphis Docs due to security concerns. When searching for a replacement we found that options were limited. I had several questions and Fahad was very responsive with answering them. Then during testing there were issues that arose with the plug-in and Fahad was very helpful and even put out a bug fix or two. Thank you!

Now that we have committed 20+ sites to convert and use WP Docs, upgraded to Pro, we have run into another bug and need a very basic feature request filled. I posted for help and support 3 days ago and no response at all.

What we need is the ability to select multiple files at one time. For moving documents to “manage” how our members access the information. Moving files from one folder to the next is one at a tile or the entire folder and you have to copy/delete in two separate actions. Like ALL basic file systems have, we need to multi-select documents and MOVE them to a new location. I expected it to be in the Pro version and it is not. Very disappointing and super time consuming to do it within the limitations of WP Docs. Even more disappointing that the Author has gone silent after all the time it took to convert to WP Docs.

Rated 3 stars as it’s ok, it enables me to create a folder one by one within Media Library, however, the process is quite slow. The app also has some problems, like creating a folder can easily put the new folder (accidentally) inside previous folder. Not obvious on how to prevent such from occurring.

Generally, the app has helped me, however, I wish there was an easier way to upload Folder and files as per the structure they exist on my computer.

Clunky, glitchy, ugly, no longer supported?

This theme does not look anything like the preview when actually installed. Random squares of solid colors in awkward places, with text that floats within those random blocks. Bad contrast. It won’t even load the preview on the right when I’m in customization mode. And it wants me to upgrade to “pro”? I have a feeling this theme is no longer even being supported by the original developers. Don’t waste your time downloading this theme.

The interface is a bit clunky, but looked flexible and was easy-enough to figure out how to use. However, resulting forms look terrible – nothing like the screenshots. I wish I could post a photo. Huge gaps appear between fields and their labels and even bigger gaps between rows. Notes, instructions, and other textual content awkwardly do not wrap properly and overlaps when side-by-side in “split” rows. Textual content also shows in a rigid-looking, monospaced, Courier-like font.

If all of this fits your website’s branding, go for it. Otherwise, skip trying it.

I never even bothered to figure out if this plugin works; thus, the two stars. $15 per month for the pro version? Wow!

Completely Inappropriate as WordPress’ default editor

Gutenberg is a good plugin for some people and I’m glad it exists, but it has absolutely no place as the default post editor for WordPress. Its clunky, confusing modular paragraph style alone is reminiscent of a bad DIY website creator site, and is anything but user-friendly. It has probably already turned hundreds or more people off from WordPress altogether. I use the Classic Editor plugin on every site I administer, but some people probably don’t know about it and have quit in frustration, thinking “This is WordPress?!” I pray that the Classic plugin will continue to work without breaking anything. Although I know there are other text editors beside Gutenberg and Classic, if I were forced to use Gutenberg (like many less-experienced WP users feel they are) I would be outraged and strongly considering other WordPress plugins. I think the majority of WordPress users can agree on a single request: Bring back the Classic Editor as default. Sure, include Gutenberg with new WP installs, even recommend to try it with a notification, but don’t confound inexperienced WP users by making this clunky plugin the default editor.

The block system is like regressing fifteen years to an old clunky version of Publisher, with even less charm. I shall refrain from suggesting what should be done with it and to whoever thought we would all have the time to struggle with its idiosyncrasies – but it smacks of sabotage. It is (and I never thought I would say it) worse than Joomla was. The joy of WordPress was that it was as easy to use for a novice as it was for a programmer – with scope for the programmer to refine it and for a beginner to get a functioning website. Now it is awkward, stupidly unintuitive and quite dreadful. Thank goodness I have been able to add Classic as a plugin so that my clients can carry on using the old system. Please, please, please get rid of this awful and retrospective block system on WordPress and let it die gracelessly as a plugin that no-one likes – rather than the default.
Does the fact that over 2,000,000 people have downloaded the Classic Editor plug in to suppress Gutenberg seem to be any sort of clue?

No Lifetime License, Clunky Workflow.

Elementor is a great builder, it’s fast and they are actively making improvements, it’s my builder of choice.

If they had an unlimited lifetime license and a better way to switch pages (instead of that clunky “Return to Dashboard” thing) I’d be all in and this would be a 5 star builder.

Admin Page Spider Pro is a big help but it’s yet another, pay by the year, plugin.

Not a fan. The interface is clunky, and you have to put up with little flyout popup menus on the buttons, even when you have told it to only have one action associated with the button. If your users accidentally just click the button, they get a black page that appears in a new tab. Not cool. Apparently, I could go premium to get rid of that, but it’s so basic that it’s not worth paying just to get that. I’ll find another tool.

When i click on the Export to CSV button, i get a blank CSV file.

Also the interface is clunky as it saves both the form submissions and the email notification that i get when someone fills out a form. Better look for other options.
