I am having a CLS issue in the Desktop version of my web, that seems to be caused by the menu. I think it is the menu because the CLS metric is exactly the same in the home page and in any other post page, so it doesn’t seem that the CLS issue is related to the content of any of the individual pages.

I am using Astra Theme.

I am only using basic options that Astra offers for customizing colours and fonts in the menu. So, I have no idea where this issue comes from, or how can I solve it.

If anyone could help, it would be really welcome.

I have a CLS issue in my forms. As you can see in this link: https://mayangateway.com/reservations/ a couple of seconds after you open the form the letter type gets smaller. If you use a CLS test, you will see it.

I didn’t have this issue before, it started happening from one of the last updates. I think it began with the 5.0.4 version.

What should I do to prevent this from happening?

I am getting a “CLS issue: more than 0.25 (desktop)” error on Google Search Console for 53 URLs for my website, due to this may be the traffic has dropped suddenly from last month

I am having CLS issue with the desktop header on Astra theme. This is being caused by the LiteSpeed Cache plugin. It only appears when the plugin is active. When I deactivate the plugin, it disappears.

Also, when I purge all pages, it gets fixed temporarily but starts to show up again after a while.

Please help me fix this asap.

I have CLS issues with all of the pages on my site, I think I have identified which part of the page it is that is causing the loading issues, but I have no idea how to fix it. From using the Lighthouse tool and the Layout Shift GIF generator it is:

1) The H1 Title: Best Chainsaws 2021L 11 (Incredible) Choices
2) The post info directly below: By Steve Mann / Buyers Guides / 11 Comments
3) The link text near the top that says: “>>> I know about chainsaws already, jump me straight to the reviews <<<”

I also thought from the report the Related Posts box near the bottom of the page, but I have removed this and it makes no difference.

I am not very techy and don’t know how to get to the bottom of this. Generally every page has good Page Speed and GTMetrix scores, but this CLS issue persists.

What I am even more confused about is I have a second site using exactly the same theme, with the pages having pretty much the same layout on inferior hosting that has no CLS issues).

Can anyone offer any solutions please?

I still not able to hide category from the theme inside. I use css code to hide category. Its hide but causing CLS issue.

I there any way to hide category or show only the parent ?

I I have one question at a time in quiz with previous and next button.
As the number of character in question changes from question to question , the layout of the space provided changes as per character it create CLS ISSUE.

SO MY QUESTION IS THAT
How should we avoid this?
Is there any specific additional css should I add in ‘ additional CSS’ so that the web page will not be affected by the layout shifting
