Amazon AWS S3 buckets origin domains now default to a regional domain name, the old setting has been depreciated. So something like “bucketname.s3.amazonaws.com” is now “bucketname.s3.us-east-1.amazonaws.com” and if you go into the bucket and try and set the name back to “bucketname.s3.amazonaws.com” it automatically changes it to “bucketname.s3.us-east-1.amazonaws.com” when you move to next field or save settings. Since this appears to be the default settings now is there a way to get W3TC to recognize this?

Error adding existing CloudFront

Hello,

I have an existing CloudFront distribution serving my WP, and I want to add it to W3TC so I can use auto-invalidation. I added the CloudFront domain and CNAME in the “Replace site’s hostname with” field, but then I click to test I get the error “Error: Distribution for origin “www.my-website.com” not found. The user permissions are correct (I’ve even tried attaching admin permissions and got the same error).

The DNS www.my-website.com is pointing to the CloudFront distribution, so the origin domain is different (origin-www.my-website.com) since it points to an ALB, however I can’t edit or rename the field “Origin” on the W3TC configuration page.

As part of the troubleshooting, I’ve tested adding a dummy origin with origin domain “origin-www.my-website.com” and the test passed.

Is there a way to rename the “Origin” on the W3TC CDN Configuration? If not, what is the correct way to import an existing CloudFront distribution?

I have a wordpress/woocommerce site running in an autoscaler/load balancer with cloudfront as a reverse proxy.
The servers all mount the same EFS filesystem that contains wordpress.
Database is on RDS.
At any time there are 2 to 10 instances running but they all share the same DB and filesystem.
I am looking for a plugin to handle things like minifying and combining and maybe selective inclusion (like critical CSS) I wouldn’t be enabling page cache.
Have you tested your plugin in this type of scenario or can you think of any reason it wouldn’t work?

My question is will this work on a static site? Also do I need to configure anything on the server?

Font not loading via CDN

I’m using Cloudfront with CDN Enabler plugin. The inter font is not loading via the CDN for some reason. The Cardo font is loaded correctly but something is wrong with the inter font.

Is this behavior normal? What do i need to do inorder to load the font via Cloudfront correctly?

I’ve reinstalled W3TC and am having a problem: Although my media files were uploaded fine, all media in new posts are not being uploaded to CloudFront/S3. (I have to upload the files specifically or disable the plugin to have them appear.)

In trying to debug, I see this error in my apache error_log which seems to point to a related problem:

“Undefined array key "local_path" in /bitnami/wordpress/wp-content/plugins/w3-total-cache/CdnEngine_Base.php on line 306“

Any help would be appreciated!

Hello,

I’m unaware of anything I’ve done but I’m now getting this message when I try to ‘Purge All Cache’:

‘Failed to purge: CloudFront distribution not specified.’

Whilst I’m able to upload the CDN files I now get this message when testing the S3 upload:

Error: Distribution for origin “cdn.kitscottage.uk.s3.eu-west-2.amazonaws.com” not found.

I have other identical setups and whilst one also displayed this behavior it eventually disappeared and the others are ok.

Is there a fix I can apply?

After php ungrade site facing a huge response delay for request

We were using the php 7.3 and due to the update recommondations we had to upgrade the php to latest. once done the upgrade we were notice there so so many issue related to to the php compatibility. So we tried to downgrade it to 8.0 and still same.

we have hosted the application on aws ec2 and we are using cloudfront for the CDN, so cached pages are quite speed but non cahced and logged in users can not get that speed due to the rules we made on cache. so latency is still there for them. We our theme is WPLM and it’s 3.5 version.

we are looking for a help how can we resolve this with this condition and how to make it for better response time without any major latency.
